Today, so far, I have been using a Parker Duofold Mk I, a Swan L442E, and a PenBBS 308.

But that's about to change...

Loomings:

Call me Ishmael. Some years ago-never mind how long precisely-having little or no

money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore. I thought I

would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world.................

Today it's been:

Pilot Decimo (light grey, F nib) -- Iroshizuku Yama-bud

Noodler's Creaper (Cobalt, flex nib) -- Noodler's Heart of Darkness

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Flushed out the Sheaffer Stylist/777 and Pelikan m250...

Replaced in rotation by

  • 8-year-old (never inked) Stipula Model-T Ebonite (which is why I hadn't inked it prior; I have a bad habit of soaking sections overnight and heard that ebonite/rubber doesn't care for that treatment)
  • New Opus 88 Omar

My first Demonstrator...

I get why people find it attractive, however it brings out the OCD in me when you try to clean the pen, and you realize that there is this drop of water stuck somewhere in the piston which you can't get out, and simply refuses to dry....

Keeps you up at night thinking whether that would cause something to rust... heck so I decided to ink it up and keep it in rotation again...

a Pilot Custom 742 inked with Parker Quink Black! Broad nibs are so smooth and different from the usual fines I use. It's a lovely feeling.

Today's users are all Chinese demonstrators, with 1.1 mm nibs. They're inked with Troublemaker Inks' Simoun, Starry Night, Autumn Rain Grey, and Hanging Rice. Also, De Atramentis' Heliogen Green - Gold.

Wild.

Just waiting on a green barrel to replace the black on my M600. Found one used on ebay for just over $100 so I'll take the chance!
