What Chinese Pens Are You Using Today? 2018 + 2019

If I remember correctly both Helen and Bobje have mentioned Moonman and other Chinese pens with italic and/ or stub nibs. My question: what are these nibs and where could I get some of my own?

I have an unbranded wooden pen (not the bamboo pen) with a 1.1 stub as well as the Yiren in 1.1 and 0.7. The broader stubs have been plain crappiness, even after much tuning, so I'm still looking one or two nice ones.

If I recall it correct what they mean is they had source those as after market parts and retrofit the to the pens , or I might be wrong .. they might be referring to all the calligrahy nib / pen set which runs like 0.9, 1.1, 1.5 etc etc ... , just as your Yiren are , they are crisp calligraphy nibs, not Stub nor Italic AFAIK. I do not know of any Chinese fountain pen Mfr offering ( as of now ) true tipped Stub / Italic

Yes I gathered as much and would be interested in knowing what the working combos of pen + stub/ italic nib to retrofit are! The pen models are mentioned, but I didn't notice mentions of what the nibs are :)

with sinking heart .. I start today with a pen that I dearly do not want to carry around but needed to , it will now be carried in my EDC bag ... my Tactical Lamy Safari clone inked with PenBBS 68 Bamboo Moon ; I am old enough to experience the years how my home town goes from poverty to prosperity ; and now a man must do what a man must do ; there are principles that should be upheld ; I am and I will be out to document with my pens, my notebook, and my camera. Friends , wish me good fortune and pray that what's right should & would come to light ; if you guys do not read me around here discussing, that's because I am out putting my pens to a better course and a better use

That's a good looking pen!! I've been using the Jinhao 992 but it's not very aesthetically pleasing. That Wing Sung 601a looks like a nice step up.

Semi-related: How are you finding out about pens like that?? Never even heard of the 601a or half the pens on this thread.

The 601 and 601A are pretty nice pens! I ended up with two of each, but the A can sometimes seep ink around the nib join.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Agreed. I love the 601A, but all three of mine have started to seep after the first use. I simply unscrew the nib, put some silicon grease on the threads and screw it back on. Absolutely no problems after that. It looks like they try to secure the nib with some sort of glue that doesn't secure or seal very well.

Thanks for the tip! I'll try that next time. Because other than that it's such a nice pen to use.

Just as others had already answered, by browsing on this forum section but of course window shopping on Chinese home market online retail site do yield a bunch ...

Does anyone has the interesting moonman n2 (in acrylic vibrant color) ?

I have it in blue. It's tiny. Here's the picture of Moonman N2 next to a Wingsung 601.

It's so really nice and minimal, to me.

What about build quality and nib performance ?

I reckon you are asking about the Wing Sung 601?

I can not speak for pomps but personally, it is really nice.

Not the smoothest but the flow is one of the better experience in this price range.

Build quality is excellent unless you are brutal in handling the pen.
