Two of the SKB F20s arrived later this afternoon. Inked up the green agate this evening with

Private Reserve Avocado. The F19 model is a rounded cap top and barrel finial. The F20s have

flat tops. Cost: $3.49. Paid $2.98 for the F19s. These pens come in 6 colors: Red, pink, black,

green agate, sky blue, dark blue. These pens are a definite for any high school or college student

who enjoys writing with a FP. Nib reminds me of the Jinhao 992 in smoothness, or maybe just a tad

better. Well worth the price, Like the screw cap for a pen of its price. No model # stamped on the

cap trim.

Sorry about my handwriting, it's a little bit worst than usual on this one because I was writing on my lap. Also, crappy copy paper, i have never laid eyes on decent paper, not something that exists where I live :/

Moonman M2 - 1.1 Stub nib. Ink: Chesterfield Antique Mariner & Chesterfield Archival Black -

Journaling (I continue to be pleased with the smoothness of this stub nib; provides a nice writing

experience. Have ordered a 2nd M2, which will come with both a med. & stub nib)

That looks fantastic. Just hope the nib lasts, it can fatigue. But that's the fun of a Chinese pen, it's not a catastrophe.

Regards,

Richard.

It is an experiment, a successful one so far, but i avoid pushing it beyond 1.2mm but at 1.0mm it seems to do just fine. If i had the tools i would cut the slit further up and that would help a lot to the durability, because as you say, i fear the metal will fatigue eventually.

I bought a set of 3 nibs for something like $1.20 just in case I busted my own (Tried buying a box of feeds as well, but not a single seller on ebay ships to my country :C) i gifted one and had 2 left + the silver one that came with my X750.

So i went on ebay and purchased 12 more and started grinding XD.

Moonman 80 in Lake Blue into which I have fitted a compatible Parker 45 steel factory stub nib. Currently writing with a fill of Edelstein Garnet. The model 80 is a remarkable copy of the ubiquitous P45. The nib unit is lightly glued into the section but no heat - just a moderate twist - was all that was needed to remove it. A standard P45 nib unit screwed in perfectly.

I have looked at the Moonman 80S for awhile. Did not purchase it because of the fine nib. Nice to know that a P45 nib unit will do the trick, though the nib unit cost more than the pen (LOL). Bit the dust and ordered the pen. Thanks so much

After being inspired by Drathbun, the Birthday Boy, I had to ink up my black/white Kaigelu 316.

Inked with Noodler's AirCorp Blue Black. The Kaigelu (Roo) 316 is a beautiful pen. The nib

on my Roo is smooth, and flows across the paper in my Black n' Red Notebook.

LOL! Thanks Helen! Birthdays are marvelous excuses to indulge our little obsessions aren't they? As if we needed excuses. I used my birthday as an excuse to buy my Visconti Van Gogh Starry Night but that was last February and my birthday is today! So, of course, I needed something on my ACTUAL birthday! I'm expecting a Kaigelu 316 identical to Helen's gorgeous Roo sometime early next week! Plus, a friend gave me a gift certificate to my favourite pen and stationary store, so I'll be heading down there tomorrow or Tuesday to get some Iroshizuku Kon-Peki for my "Roo". I'll have three now; Amber (Kanga), Charcoal (Roo) and White/Black (Joey).

:D :D :D

My white/black Kaigelu 316 arrived today. I inked it up with Iroshizuku Asa-Gao. It writes as buttery smooth as my other two Kangaroos!

Arrived today. Will write with this pen for several days. Do like the looks, recognizing it is a

TWSBI Eco knock off. Definitely not the same quality as a TWSBI, however, with the M. nib I put

on the green pen, writes fairly smooth. These are what I call knock about pens - if I lose one it does

not present a problem. Anticipating purchasing a Lamy 1.1 stub nib for the dark purple pen, and a

broad nib for the light blue. Own two TWSBI pens with 1.1 stub nibs, Will reseal red emblem to

eliminate the excess air problem, which causes drying of the nib. Check Chrisrap's two videos on

the Lanbitou 3059.

Today I'm fiddlin' around with the dark purple Lanbitou 3059. Fine nib - inked with Lamy Dark Violet.

The F. nib Is fairly smooth, with a bit of feedback. The nib is like a nail, and will require a wet ink. The

piston clicks upon completing an ink fill - keeps from having ink flow out if you accidently turn the cap while writing. This pen takes a Lamy nib. You can order a M. nib from Bobby on Ebay, or a broad/1.1 stub

Lamy nib on Amazon. Clip is not too snug, and will be easy to clip to a shirt pocket.

PEN LENGTH: Capped 5 1/2"

Uncapped 5 1/8"

CAP LENGTH: 2 1/2"

WEIGHT: Capped 28g

Uncapped 18g

The Lanbitou 3059 weighs the same as my TWSBI Eco (white). I have heard of hairline cracks in the TWSBI, however, I have not personally experienced that challenge. The Lanbitou 3059 is approximately 1/16 longer than the TWSBI. The TWSBI - section & body are both smooth, with the cap having facets. Lanbitou 3059 - both cap & section have facets, but the body is smooth. The Lanbitou 3059 also has a red emblem in the cap top, with a triangle design. Writing in my Black n' Red Notebook, the writing was smoother. As I noted earlier, the TWSBI is a pen of better quality, however, the 30059 has a place for FP use. Holds just a bit less ink than the TWSBI Eco. The 3059 has a metal band just under the finial. Nice pen to take to class or work on one ink fill. They call it Sand Purple, but in your hand it is a darker purple. Reminds me of the Jinhao X750 & 159 purple FPs.

SKB 20 $3.49US. This pen surprised me. I was expecting it to feel cheap - and it does. The plastic is very soft and light. This is like a disposable pen. But I was also expecting the nib to be really horrible. To my surprise, it wasn't! It is very smooth and needs no tuning. It is also a very wet writer for a fine nib. The nib isn't as fine as I thought it would be either. It is more like between a fine and a medium. I don't know that I can get used to the light feel though. If it had a little more weight it might be more controllable.
