Testing out a Wing Sung 3008 that arrived today with Waterman Mysterious Blue. I think it's safe to say I'll be replacing the nib :D

(I can't draw for toffee)

It only really writes upside down or with an Ahab flex amount of pressure... and even then it skips constantly. Actually quite enjoying abusing it till I can pick up a Lamy nib for it though :)

EDIT: Good god the second one's even worse. These might be destined for the bin at this point.

A Jinhao 8812 with a fine nib, inked with Iroshizuku Tsuki-Yo.

I was actually sent this pen by mistake, after ordering a very different one. It's such a lovely writer and the perfect size and weight for me, so I'm delighted they messed the order up 😄.

Wing Sung 3008, a two dollar pen that I put a ten dollar Lamy 1.1 nib on. Nice combination and an unbelievable value.

edited to add: I did have to slightly bend the sides of the Lamy nib to firmly attach to the WS feed.

Baoer 051 Black stripes with chrome cap. Medium nib. I like the pen but dont like the finger smudges on the chrome cap so Ive ordered an all black one.

Apart from your finger smudges, how does it write? Minimal feedback? Excessive feedback? I own a couple of Baoer pens--the 8 horses is one of them. I replaced the nib with a #5 Knox medium nib, and it is a fairly smooth writer.

It was a bit scratchy on first use. I adjusted the tines a bit and smoothed it and it is much better. When the black one arrives, I'll use the best of the two nibs.

I've been looking at all three of the 8 horses Baoers and thinking of pulling the trigger. Did you replace the nib because it wasn't good or just because you wanted to?

I replaced it because the nib was far too scratchy. I had several new Knox #5 nibs, so I replaced the nib. Very nice writing experience after replacing the nib.

Was it difficult to get the Baoer nib out?

Today I'm writing with my JinHao 159 broad nib. Nice big pen, smooth as glass nib.

I do not remember it being a problem. I replaced the Knox nib about 4 yrs ago.
