Waterman Expert Nib Replacement

Hi everybody, I recently got myself a Waterman Expert II pen but when I got the pen, the nib was pretty much unusable. When I did a search on ebay for just the nib, the price of the nib was pretty much the price of the pen. Is there anyway or anyone I can get the nib at a cheaper price from?

I suspect that the best way is to search on eBay and try to buy a damaged pen with a good nib.

There is a thread, somewhere in this forum, that describes what nibs can be replaced by others from different manufacturers. It is very useful but, unfortunately, it has not been pinned for easy reference.
