Solution For A Leaking Pen

Hi, mates.

I have a pre-owned Visconti Opera Master Air. It is a great writer, but with one crucial problem. The problem is that, the whole nib unit is not fully put into the grip section. That problem causes ink leaking through the gap between the nib collar and the grip section.

An obvious solution is that, put out the collar and put it again fully. But It's got stuck in its position, so I can't put out from the grip section just by turning it as my other Visconti pens.

Because I have no nib removal tool and local retailer said that he doesn't have the tool neither, I'm in South Korea, so sending it to the nibmeisters or retailer who has the tool is not a good solution. I think the simplest solution for it is to fill the gap between the collar and grip section to stop the leaking.

I tried a silicon grease which came with my Wing Sung 698, but it didn't help.

Do you have any suggestion for me? or have any experience similar to this?

Can you pls post a picture of your nib unit sticking outside the section? It is always possible to make your own tool to remove and reseat your nib unit. Someone may hopefully suggest something after looking at some pics.

In case you wish to write to me, pls use ONLY email by clicking here. I do not check PMs. Thank you.

Probably just needs to be screwed in...

Yes. I know. The priblem is that it doesnt move. Its impossible to screw in/out the collar.
