What Waterman Pens Do You Own?

I got this Waterman Allure in the mail today. It shipped from Ireland. It kind of matches my Circa Jotlet from Levenger. The Jotlet also comes in a more traditional camo. I liked the ice cream colors.

It seems a pen that the more I look at it, the more i like it, reminding me of the vintage '30-40-50's pens.

Just received this Watermans...no idea on the model (even after looking at Peyton Street Pens helpful links!).. This one has no sac so I'll have to order one as I only have size 15 and I think 16 will be better??

I think that is a Waterman's Thorobred.

I bought a few more Waterman's from 1960- or 1970. Vintages from France. They are modern vintage pens /gold plated metal pens looks like great writers but nibs are not flexible.

I just bought this grey beauty, replacing my olive green of the same type that I dropped on a tile floor 30 years ago.

I have a couple of Man 100s and Man 200s, bought them around 15 years ago when they were quite affordable. I also have one Exclusive, one Executive, one Carène (not suitable for me as a left-handed writer), one Gentleman and three recentely bought fps from the 70s or 80s that I still have to identify. The Man 100 with a F nib works best for me.

Man 100 F.

Carène Black Sea F, Frosty Brown F, Gunmetal cap M.

(Brushed silver metal Gentleman 33?) x 2, F, M.

(Black brushed plastic Gentleman 44?) on the way, plus cap and barrel waiting to find a section with nib.

W5 F.

52 F, finally working.

54V F, may finally be working.

Two beater 52's one a two stage 7X Wet Noodle the other a normal single stage 6X Wet Noodle. I was after the nib....and as long as they wrote.

One is a tad bigger than the other. Both are 'Clip cap' something I learned last week indicated their age, as first run '52's.

A 1918-30's 0554 Gothic Wet Noodle.....I sent it off to be re-sacked by Francis as a only a 'semi-flex, and it came back a Wet Noodle. Mauricio, a superflex expert and pen seller, says there is a lot of fiddling to make a nib and feed give it's best.64oSuVc.jpg

The nib cleaned up no problem at all, as did the silver pen holder. I had sent two pens off to Francis as 'semi-flex' both came back Wet Noodles...So I went form 3 to 5 wet noodles in one swoop.

A @ 1990 18 K, Waterman, Mann 200 F, that is as narrow as either of my Pelikan 200's EF's..................reminding myself of the Flame War days between Pelikan swap nib vs Waterman narrower nib. Truly narrower.

Second black pen down, is the Mann 200. This was a live auction bid I won against the world.  I really wanted that Pelikan Hunter Toledo, and the top black pen, a W.Germany 800. The top pen is a Japanese made burl Diplomat where the M nib is an F.DaYPoQV.jpg

When the Japanese pens finally crawled off their Islands, some 15-18 years ago, the Waterman thin nib hid from miss-marked Japanese skinnier nibs.

Aurora had made the thinnest Euro nib....and I don't see comparisons vs Japanese nibs...but I don't go over to the Italian section.

Cute 52 1/2 v , I just bought a 52 ripple but has a 52V cap that I think looks fine, you can't find a better nib than a nice ideal 2, just the right size for the flex and

sometimes are fine enough to do some nice script lettering with.  Mine actually I bought in parts, and made it using another pen for parts, fun.

That’s a very good looking parts pen, @GlenV! So far 2 out of my 4 Waterman’s have number 2 nibs, the other 2 don’t have a number but are similar in size, tine length, and breather hole shape.  Thanks for complimenting my little vest pen. When I ink it up I’ll add writing sample pictures.
