For now I've given up on trying to use up the L65 and I've switched to my latest acquisition:

Despite it's monochromatic nature this is actually a colour photo. I just have boring taste in pens.

The L65 was my loyal companion during my high school years. One my relatives must have thrown it away together with other non-functioning or empty pens, not recognizing it as a fountain pen, because I can't find it anymore. : (

The whole collection got cleaned and, with the exception of two, re-inked today. Ive had the M1000 for about thirteen years, whereas the others have been from the last two months of so.

Damn, that sucks!

Yes, I tend to get sentimentally attached to the stationery products I've used for long and that Level was still good to go so it majorly sucked.

On a positive note, today I'm using my four Wing Sung 3008 with Lamy nibs, of which three are pictured below. The blue pen now contains Pelikan 4001 Dunkelgrun because Diamine Midnight stinks so much...

It's a humble start, but y'all have got me hooked on fountain pens! I'm loving the smoothness and playing with new ink colors and choices!

Fountain pens are the best  Welcome to the community!

Thank you very much. My next mission is to find a green model in as good a condition.

Duofold Centenial

I bought the same Duofold last year, a modern Centennial Black in Fine nib, the first ink I used was Parker Quink blue but it's not my favourite blue at all... anyway, it's a very nice pen, smooth as silk and very classy. Enjoy yours!

Cheers,

Luis A.

Today I am using an Esterbrook J from the 1950's. What makes this pen exceptional is the 9314-M Relief Medium Stub. It has great line variation, and it is the smoothest nib I own.

First pen of 2018, immediately sharing with you guys.

Wing Sung 698, demonstrator with golden accents, fine nib.

I don't know why I expected the nib to feel better than the 3003 and 3001, I've already learned that many times a difference in price means only a difference in the body of the pen in terms of material and QC.

Nib felt the same as other WS models, so I replaced with my Pilot Kakuno's F. Can't wait to try it with the Pluminix' F though.

I like the fact that here I don't have to justify the state of my fingers. ;)

Here a better shot:
