Today I am using this Waterman Exception which has been sitting in one of my pen drawers for quite a long time.

It is really a nice pen, although for some reason the round to square section transition feels somewhat odd under my fingers when I hold it.

It's a really classy pen though and the nib is ever so smooth

The Pilot Pluminix nibs are great but the body of the pen is too unwieldy, even for my tiny hands.

The two Pluminix F I have are in Wing Sung 698s and the B nib is the Pilot Kakuno. (The Pilot Kakuno nib will soon return to its own body since I will need it for the exam).

Just got my Monteverde in the mail with one of my favorite color schemes for a fountain pen. Goes very, very well with my sheaffer's. Apologizes for camera, phone is (bleep) :(

JayKay3000 thanks for sharing the picture of the Kaigelu. You don't find information about this brand outside of FPN.

Bobje, I also tip my hat to your penmanship. Outstanding as usual!

Astewa, stunning trio you have there!

Houston, In the last picture I share the pen (Wing Sung 698 with a nib swapped from a Pilot Pluminix) had the piston up to halfway because I used the rest of the ink. I fear that if the body of the pen heats up with the warmth of my hand, I'll see some burping and leaks, so I roll the piston up as I use the ink up.

RoyalBlueNotebooks: That's interesting! I've never had a piston-filler with burping problems. Eyedroppers commonly burp, but it's new to me that a piston-filler might. Is this an experience you've had with other piston pens, or only the Wing Sung?

I personally only experienced leakage with the Wing Sung 3008 model, not the 698, but I read that burping is possible with piston-fillers too, if the body of the pen gets warm enough. And since I did swap the original WS nib and feed unit for the Pilot one, messing up the delicate balance of the pen as it is out of the factory, I want to minimize the risk of having my 698s burp ink on me. Thus the decision about keeping the piston knob at the level of the ink.

It helps a lot that the WS 698 has that handy piston-locking mechanism, so the piston turning knob doesn't hang far out of the body of the pen even when it's fully up. I like that feature.

My trusty Pelikan Pelikano P481 with a Leftie nib, very broad, right up there with my Lamy Z50 M nib, which for me is between a medium and a broad.

A 1€ pen from Yiren, lays down a nice EF line, but the ink flow is inconsistent, I need to prime the feed often. I'll probably gift it to someone within or without the family.

Houston, that Pelikan is just gorgeous  And you probably have the P450 Pelikano model. I have one too, I'll take a few pictures of it soon.

This Sheaffer Intrigue of mine was bought at my first London Pen Show and is a proper workhorse - as you can see from its condition.

It's never fussy with inks and the nail like nib can always be relied upon to start first time.

I love using it and filling it (bonkers mechanism) and the pen is always on my desk ready for action.

The photo is taken on a treasured notebook, filled with things my children have said growing up.

This from my son last October.

"Dad when I die I want to be buried at sea. Cast out in a boat that's set on fire by a flaming arrow, but one or two should miss for comedic effect"

(I think the ink is MB Midnight Blue original)

I've always found the chubby section of that Sheaffer model adorable.

Tas, correct me if I'm wrong, did you add a bottle of Sailor Seiboku or Souboku into your profile icon??
