finished my homo sapiens last night, so replaced it in the rotation with a grifos oikos sterling silver, double broad steel nib and Akkerman #5 shocking blue. I forget just how much I adore that thing.

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)

So far, it's been Wing Sung 237, F nib -- Noodler's Boston Brahmin Ship of the Line LE (this year's Commonwealth Pen Show swag ink for attendees).

Compared to all you guys I only have a few pens (2) but love using both. I've been writing with a Parker Jotter since I was 12 years old and still use it a lot even today. But recently I have stepped up my game and bought a Pelikan M200. I love simple black and deep blue inks so was very happy to find "Visconti Blue" which is in my opinion THE blue ink.

Lovely pic of an elegant, simple and robust pen. I prefer the lack of the 'ring' on the nib section.

Enjoy the reams of happiness. :thumbup:

Somehow I like the sleakness of the M200 over the M400 as well, although I do like the double ring on the cap of the M400. Decisions Decisions!

I prefer the 'cleaner' look of the M200/205.

My combo would be M205 with a M405 nib since RT has always been my preference.

The M200 and M400 have the same heft and girth.

Having not mentioned what has been in action for a while, I will be using today an Onoto 3000 from about 1920-21, and three pens from the 1940s to 1950s, being a Tabo CO, Pelikan 400 Schildplatt, and Geha 790. Inks are more conventional, being Aurora Blue and Black, GvFC Turquoise and J Herbin Violette Pensee, in that order.

All of these older pens are going like the proverbial train. They make writing a greater pleasure, with no idiosyncratic problems.

Over the weekend, when I was out of town, I had four pens with me:
Parker 51 Aerometric, EF nib (the Forest Green one I got recently), with vintage Quink Permanent Violet;

Pelikan M120 Iconic Blue, M nib, with MB Beatles Psychedelic Purple LE;

vintage Pelikan 400, OB nib, with Edelstein Olivine;

and Sheaffer Balance Oversize, with vintage Skrip V-Black.

Still using Pelikans as am trying to empty them after the Hub and haven’t done much writing. Today it’s the Pelikan M400 White Tortoise (M) and Edelstein Aventurine and Pelikan M800 Brown Tortoise (M) and Edelstein Amber.
