Okay, I'll bite. What is an "ink pencil"?

Love the book, by the way -- I've had a copy of it for over 30 years, because a friend of mine dragged me (not unwillingly mind) to a lecture that Mark Drogin gave someplace.

Apologies for the delay in replying, Ruth.

The ink-pencil, is similar to the technical pens / stylographs. It's a lever filler, which has a metal tube to deliver the ink. It's different, but a very nice writer.

:)

Visconti Pininfarina Designo. This pen has really become great since getting the nib sorted. The wetness and line width is just right. Pretty happy with this one right now. The design and magnetic cap closure is great for daily use! For some reason its not drying out at all despite a minimal seal. Also the trims are raw stainless so easily corrected from micro scratches.

My new Conklin Duraflex. This is my first Conklin. By far not my first Yafa pen but this new pen is making me very happy. I really approve of this latest batch of Omniflex nibs! Mine is #1123 of 1898 so I suspect if someone was interested in the limited model, theres only going to be a batch or two left before theyre gone in this color and rose gold trim. Looks and writes great! Really no complaints especially at the low price. I havent had to do any work on this pen at all. The only think I might do is fill in the barrel text with white to bring out the text. Its a little light with the factory coloring.

Someday the mountain might get em but the law never will.........

Fred! You've got one of the oldies but goodies. Aren't those early Bexley Minka nibs a delight! And you've got a stub to boot! CONGRATS!

Omas DLC bronze titanium today. Bomb proof! If its capped, I defy any rouge nation to even scratch it! It might be radioactive for the next 5 to 7 years but thats someone elses problem I imagine.

Today, continuing use of the Montblanc 264 and the neat and smooth Onoto K4, both piston-fill pens from the mid-1950s.

At the moment it's the Pelikan M405 Striated Blue (EF) and Edelstein Tanzanite.

But I was up really late last night, and in the stretch between midnight and about 4 AM it was the Noodler's Boston Safety Pen (flex nib) with Noodler's Luck of the Draw LE.
