Arrived and WOW! :D

The Factory Stub is amazing.

Interesting, can you post an image of the nib? is it a tipped stub? For some reason I prefer stubs that retain tipping, and not so much those that are exploiting only the cut nib. I have a Stipula tipped stub which is fantastic.

So I am particularly interested in Factory Stubs.

Just ordered an M805 demonstrator (without barrel engraving) with custom OB nib from John Mottishaw and team. I can’t wait!

I just ordered this Hero Century Pioneer. Never heard of this model. Looks like a cousin of the Hero 9075 or maybe the 186 and bears a slight resemblance to an ugly second cousin twice removed (Hero Pastel) that I saw on Norman's site.

I love the smell of fountain pen ink in the morning.

Still waiting for my Tangerine Sailor from Fahrney's. I don't know if it is in the mail yet.

Sooo busy at the moment, all kinds of interesting things to ask and to post... but all I can do for now is chip into this thread once in a while. And this year I promised myself I'd finish selling the half the pens I wanted to sell and stick only to awesome buys! And so far apart from one PIF from here which should be arriving this week and one excellent draw win of a Karas Kustoms, which was great, but not my cup of tea and will shortly be PIFfed itself, I've only bought awesome pens!

If not 'grails', certainly damn close.

The Waterman 55 from the other day is a joy to use; definitely a grail pen.

And then this week seems to be a week of lots of old, BCHR, NOS, boxed and papered flexible eyedroppers from various makers, some arriving to my home, some to my parents home, some to my NYC friend... No idea when I'm going to be able to ink them up though!

And it's HERE! Grey Decimo, EF nib (turned out the nib got swapped for the M that it came with, before getting shipped on to me. I've barely gotten the parcel open though -- I was out running errands all afternoon (before the next round of nuisance snow hits) and then had choir rehearsal this evening. Hopefully pix in a day or two. I'll have to make due with the cartridge that was packed in the box though, until I get a chance to get a converter for it.

Not waiting for it in the mail yet, but about to put in an order for Northern Lights. Quite excited as this would be my first, first BNIB Visconti as opposed to a pre-owned visconti (and it's LE!)

I'm waiting on a Parker 21 that I got on eBay. My first vintage pen. Hopefully it's in as good a shape as the seller claimed.

Earlier this week on Youtube Chris Rap looked at an updated Delike New Moon EF pen with a Waverly nib that was updated with more metal parts. So I ordered one for $8 on ebay in dark blue. Should be something fun to play with (or toss).

Yeah, I've only been trying to find one since last spring.... And plans were finally put in motion the beginning of November.

Now I have to get my husband to find me the Vanishing Point so it can get flushed out and I can swap the nibs. Then probably have to make do with the cartridge for now until the Baltimore/Washington Pen Show when hopefully I can pick up a converter (yes, I could probably order one before then, but since I'm planning on going to the show *anyway*...).

No, it's definitely different from the light blue (I've seen the light blue). You have to get the Light Grey directly from Japan (either from someplace like Jetpens, or an eBay seller, or, in my case, a US dealer with contacts in Japan). Pilot-USA does NOT sell that color (ditto for black, white, or dark blue) -- they told me it was a "marketing decision". Apparently to their minds smaller pen = "girly" colors. As if men might not have small hands, or that women might not like "girly" colors. And yet they have all SORTS of really cool colors for the full size Vanishing Points (and if those weren't so darned heavy for me I'd have bought one of those long since) that are readily available.

It's been a really frustrating experience to go through, and I got extremely lucky in that I mentioned the problem to the right person -- and even then it took nearly 2 months from when I got the email saying "Are you still interested?" till the time I got the one saying "It's IN!" (and then another week plus for the check to get to him and the pen arrive in my mailbox. And he very kindly swapped out the M nib that was on the pen he got for the EF I needed before putting it in the mail.

Kaweco steel sport in BB just ordered yesterday. Also a Piuma in titanium medium nib. Technically there’s a Jinhao x450 frost black in my mailbox right this minute as well.

Someday the mountain might get em but the law never will.........
