I need more pelikans. My two most expensive are a vintage 140 flex and a m205 demonstrator. I really, really, really want a green stripe m1000. But I'm saving that pen for my graduation gift idea.

for med school I want a sailor king eagle emperor

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)

I'm still waiting for La Couronne du Comte to fulfil my order for an Aurora Talentum in 'full black' with Stub nib.

The Aurora Alpha 'Tuscan Night' and Diplomat Aero in orange, both with EF nibs, have arrived and been collected. The Diplomat EF nib is narrower and drier than the Aurora EF nib.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

The Talentum stub is a good Pen! Mine ended up with a cracked converter for some reason though. Great pen regardless! I’ve been really enjoying the Diplomat Aero also. The nib is actually polished and tuned pretty good in steel. I have not felt the need to work on it. Also a very good pen!

Someday the mountain might get em but the law never will.........

My initial impression is that the Diplomat Aero writes well (and narrow enough) for a truly EF nib, and also shows some line variation that would be suitable for Copperplate writing for anyone looking for range of say 0.2mm 'flexing' out to 0.5mm, even though the nib material actually feels quite stiff. I filled it – mine is the orange version – with Diamine Deep Dark Orange (exclusive for Cult Pens UK), and it feels quite dry, but perhaps a different selection may help there without unduly increasing the line width.

The barrel (but not the cap) of my Aurora Alpha 'Tuscan Night' is rather lighter in colour than I've expected, after having seen several images of it online. That'll 'learn' me to order such pens online sight (of the actual object) unseen. The EF nib writes well, although it's easily as wide as a F nib on a Platinum Preppy (but ever-so-slightly drier). I'd be tempted to get the red one as well, if I could find a unit that I know or can verify sports a pattern to remind me of flames in Dante's hell.

+1000

Pelikan is one of the few brands I constantly think this about. I have more Pelikans than anything else (except maybe vintage Parkers) yet am always looking to grow the flock. By contrast, I only have two Montblancs and want to sell one of them haha.

1. Edison Beaumont (Twilight Embers) which has arrived from Goulet pens at my friends house in USA. Waiting for him to bring it to India.

2. Lotus Lekhak (Dartmoor), it is still being made.

Yeah, cant seem to help myself when it comes to vintage Pelikans with stubby nibs... 😂 Half the fun is in hunting those (esp. if you are looking for bargains). Will be interesting to see that one because the pics in the auction were kind of crappy... pen should be good though.

Oh, one pen that is still in the mail, should receive a black 0.9mm rOtring 600 MP today. Fun pens, needed a backup and finally found one that was sub $100.

This arrived in the mail today.....

It looked so much better than the photos the seller had!

Oh, wow. That'd go on the wishlist if I knew what it was.

Any hints? :D

OK, I gave in... On last moment a Momento Zero... I wanted a stub, since I love to have some line variation but I had to admit that most of my writings are notes written in smaller script and that I'd better get an EF nib... now it remains to be seen whether it will come in time... or in some other time :)

Above all shadows rides the Sun
And Stars for ever dwell:
I will not say the Day is done,
Nor bid the Stars farewell.
