What Pen Are You Waiting For In The Mail 2018

Got in on the latest batch of Conklin Duraflex pens from Goulet. I was there at 1 pst with my finger over the add to cart button :D I'm seeing mixed reviews. The nib seems easy enough to fix though. It appears to be a modified Monteverde nib of some sort as they offer the same nib as a replacement. I'll do some comparisons to a Monteverde nib. Wouldn't that be cool if it was easy enough to mod a regular old Monteverde steel nib to Omniflex spec!

Someday the mountain might get em but the law never will.........

I have been watching this pen on sale on a local auction site for a long time.

The selling price stayed well above 300 euro for a long time and I never pulled the trigger, until recently when the selling price suddenly dropped.

I called up the seller and agreed for purchase, so now the pen is in the mail.

The pen is a Stipula Melozzo da Forlì (an Italian painter and architect lived in the 14th century in Forlì, a small town not far from Firenze, towards to the Adriatic sea, close to Rimini)

It's an LE based on the shapes of the Florentia, it's a CC filler, in celluloid acetate. The nib is 18k.

This celluloid was also used by Visconti for the Ragtime Leonardo da Vinci

The trim on the pen is silver.

Lamy Studio- it's not a particularly exciting pen to most, but it's one I've had my eye on for well over a year simply considering it's aesthetic. Palladium finish with a medium bi-colour nib.

I am expecting a Pilot Custom Heritage 912 with a BB nib to return shortly from Pendleton Brown. The pen wrote smoothly and wet, but I prefer an italic. Though the nib is a BB, it is actually quite narrow. I should have a relatively fine italic as a result.

Also expecting the return of a Pelikan green stripe 140 that I returned for a more flexible nib. This is my 4th 140. Each will now be flexible EF, or F. Beautiful writers.

My 3d is a blue swirled Ranga Bamboo, with a B italic Jowo nib. This is my first Indian pen. I hope it writes well. But, the motivation for buying it is the ebonite body. That is what excites me.

Two custom made black flattops with minimal white (as opposed to yellow) furniture, from different countries. Bock nibs. Code names; Gilbert and Edna. ETA early June. Diamine Eau de Nile and RO Aqua patiently await them.

Add lightness and simplicate.

Hello pen friends,

I just ordered an "Armando Simoni Club Ogiva Arco Bronze Pavarotti", it is one grail pen for me, I think Arco is one of the nicest materials in the pen world and it will be my first celluloid pen!

I am really excited, I was considering the new Bologna Extra Arco Green, but I kinda like the Bronze a bit more, plus the cartridge-converter of the Pavarotti is convenient for me.

Cheers!

An amber colored Kaigelu 316. The first 2 attempts, the sellers both balked & could not deliver. 3rd times a charm...

Hero 395 in copper... It was far down on my wishlist, partly because they were fetching upwards of $20. I'd probably pay more for it given that they're supposed to be very well made, but they've suddenly find some NOS somewhere so I got one for about $6.

Jinhao stub nibs. These are supposedly standard number #5 nibs that I can put in a number of my pens now that I've grown a bit tired of F and EF nibs. I wanted to buy the Kaweco stubs, but they look so small, I'm not sure if they'd fit in other pens.

Still waiting on the Caliarts Ego and the Moonman M2 eyedropper. I'm very excited about the eyedropper, it's my first proper eyedropper pen.

Just bought a Pelikan M400 in white tortoiseshell... I can't wait until it arrives, it's the most I've ever spent on one pen but in my mind it's one of the most beautiful pens you can buy.

Currently inked: Diamine Apple Glory (Rembrandt), Pelikan 4001 Turquoise (M400), Lamy Black (Diamond 580)

Yeah, that's a gorgeous pen. It was actually my first Pelikan. I've got other white pens and the creamy off-white against the tortoiseshell makes everything else I own with a stark white finish look like a dollar store nab.

I'm sure Pablo will happily sell you a #5 stub.

I did the same last night as a reward for completing a long project. I'm getting mine from Amazon UK which was cheaper than anywhere else that had them, even with shipping to the US. I've lusted after one of these for years and kicked myself for not getting the M600 in white tortoise when it was available (but when I wouldn't pay that much for a pen).

Stipula Novecento LE Aqua celluloid (acetate) sterling trim 14k nib

very hard to find, dates 2002

a shop had one in the left over inventory and was selling it for discounted price because it was missing the silver ring on the finial

fpn_1525473444__aquacellouse4.jpg

so I asked them "as a shop I'm sure you are in contact with the Stipula representative, can you ask them to fix it?"

"well, yes..."

the shop has recently received it restored, now it's in the mail!

This a very special pen mail day: My Sailor 1911 Large Sterling Silver H-M 21k arrived. And it writes as good as was expecting.

Its a shame that the converter I’ve bought for it didnt arrived, so Im still using the cartridge with Sailor ink (black).
