I ordered mine after the "Chinese New Year" too. With a little luck, mine will also be a bit better.

Hello.

I'm sorry, I don't speak english very well. I bought Wing Sung 601, I think it's very good fountain pen. I like it. Unluckily, I accidentally destroyed cap. Can I buy only cap for Wing Sung 601?

Well Damn.

I was so excited that my 601 came today. When I got the box, I heard a rattling. I got really nervous something broke. I opened the box and all was well, but the pen didn't look right. Pulled the cap. Hooded nib but no ink window. Saw what looked like threading and I UNSCREWED the pen. Sure enough, the rattling was a cartridge converter! Looked at cap. Says "Wing Sung 601." Looked at instruction sheet. It's instructions on how to fill a vacuumatic. So, everything right except the pen itself :)

I sent a message to seller (the art-pen-supplies guy). Waiting to hear back.

These things happen. -_-

This started as a horror story. You scared me man! Hope you'll get the correct model soon. My 601 hasn't misbehaved yet.

Okay are there any good sellers? I always wanted something Parker 51 looking, but some of these stories scare me.

If you win over your own stupidity then are you winner or loser? In any case it means something good.

I've heard good things about the seller I bought from, from this very site. This thread, even. I'm waiting for a response (time difference, most likely). But if he makes it right I'm willing to just chalk it up to one of those things that just happens every now and then.

I think it belongs to the Xmas batch...

The first batch with a lot of problems.

And I think the seller is the one who bought the first batch and sold them on ebay.

The second batch (New Year till now) were improved, however, there are still some problems.

The Final ver. was said that it would be released last month but it was postponed to the end of this month.

I do not known whether victo will sell components to the sellers on ebay, the final 601 have not been released.

I will mention it.

And Ivan, do you have any document about Zenith-2? Or other Parker 51-like Fountain Pen in Poland?

Updated:

The boss has a question, how to send the cap to you.

Wrong issue :) They sent me the absolute wrong pen. Looks like it was the wrong pen in the right case with the right cap.

UPDATE: buyer got back to me (I think we are speaking through translation software, so I am glad I sent him pictures). He asked if I'd like a refund or the correct pen. I asked him to send the correct pen. Although he did get the color wrong. I hope translation software gets the correct color across to him. So, fairly fast response. I have no problem with errors, especially on something this trivial. I care about how they resolve and so far he is doing a very good job. I'll keep you informed as to how this goes.

Update: seller told me to keep the pen he sent me and he will send me out a new proper one. Slight delay as I had to correct him on the color, but otherwise, except for waiting another month to get (not his fault), he is making it all good. He offered me a refund, I refused. In the meantime, he said I was sent a 618 with a 601 cap. Looks like I will be trying it out today :)

Hi. Unfortunately, I haven't got interesting documents of polish Parker 51 copies. I have got only rollerball pen Zenith 4 with oryginal box. I'm very happy that you and your boss can help me. Where I can send you my adress?

Yeah, " Final Ver" Wing Sung 601 arrived this morning together with my order of the Ostrich " Flower Series" color ink set .. Just a photo to show them off ( from bottom up ) the new Military Green ( no ink window variant ), Rice Bran, Battleship Gray, and my older New Year Batch Lake Blue / Pale Teal ; according to the Mfr there is several improvements, some visible, some not, a new feed, a rounded off cap edge ( both I do observe ), improved ink collector and improved inner cap ( I'll have to wait till I got time to disassemble them to compare ), a more straight off ink window ( Ok I'll had to admit I do not seems to notice that, but I'll give them the benefit of doubt, need to get time to examine that under a loupe to check ), better injection and color matching ( I cannot vouch to that since I got them in different color ). There is now also a classic Burgundy finish as well as the two demo version; which can be had with either traditional Vacumatic Diaphragm mechanism or Piston Pump mechanism. I am thinking I might order the Piston if they offer those as parts and see if I can retrofit them onto the older New Year Batch sample.

And in the mean time I do confirm with the factory that the ink set I had is mixable so time to do some experiment.

Well Ostrich do offer the series in a set of 12 colors ( 15ml ea. ) or 4 different gift box set of 3 different ink ( 15ml. ) + 1 pen ; I suppose it depend on the retail channel whether you can get it or not.

  • 3 weeks later...

I received my 601 today (ordered 10 days ago as (Wing Sung 601 Vacumatic Fountain Pen Fine Nib&Silver Cap 0.38MM-0.5mm 5 Colors", Color: "Transparent Body Pen" from eBay user red16890). I immediately inked it up with some Noodler's Apache Sunset. I'm quite pleased with it so far (i.e. after two hours). It came with the plunger/piston pump/vacuum fill mechanism even though the photos on the eBay listing clearly showed a pen with the more Vacumatic style diaphragm filler. This didn't particularly bother me as I want to get one of each (and I was waiting to order another until I saw which filler flavor this one ended up being). After digger around a bit more on eBay, I was able to find a seller (xinyushishang) whose item description specifies the filler variation of the colors they have available. For instance, you can order the "Transparent green" which comes with the "vacuum plate" [sic] or the "New transparent green" which comes with the "piston plate"--which they note is the "more stable" of the two.

So, of course, I ordered one of the transparent green/blue pens so I could get some color and filler variety. I've been really pumped about these since the pen that got me interested in hooked on fountain pens was an heirloom Parker Vacumatic, and filling mechanisms have always been a big part of my interest. Now I'm just going to play around with my new 601...and wait for my other 601 to arrive...and keep a vigilant watch for the penBBS counterparts to these to show up.

My replacement order came a couple days ago. It is the right one. Unfortunately, there's no suction on the vacuum. I pulled the nib and filled with a syringe, which seems to work fine, and it writes well enough for what I paid, but slightly disappointed about the filler.
