Fantastic! I love them - wonderful and dependable writers. Very beautiful too. Is there one you're particularly interested in?

Love the B nib on my Victorian Grand. Very sturdy pens, but require regular polishing to keep the silver shiny if you’re one of those people who can’t live with a little tarnish.

I have a Retro Standard and it's a great pen that's been in rotation since I bought it. Striking looks, lightweight and the nib is wet and smooth as glass.

I'm a big fan of the Yard-O-Led brand. There are a couple of great little videos on Youtube showing the factory and manufacturing process. I have (what I asume is an original) Deluxe pencil bought around 25+ years ago from the Filofax shop in London, Viceroy barley fountain pen and a victorian finish Perfecta pencil. I'm currently listing an unused Retro pencil on eBay which I'm selling because my interest in YOL is in the concept of traditional handcrafted silver. The Retro pens look great but I think the non-silver models somewhat dilute the quality and image of their artisan productions. Not keen on the Astoria resin-type range. The current YOL range doesn't seem to include any non-solid silver models.

Don't have the fountain pen, but have several pencils. I think they exude class. A real throwback. And the bigger the better!

I have just one but it is one of my favorite pens. Viceroy Grand Victorian. Beautifully crafted Sterling Silver pen, hand produced with a fine nib. I have more expensive pens but none built this well nor as pretty.

After a very positive experience with a Yard-o-Led Grand Emperor fountain pen (published in this forum) I fell in love with the brand and acquired 3 more pens (ballpoints) and 1 pencil. The last ones being a Regent and a Diplomat ballpoint (both barley and both from 1994). Today they came back from Yard o Led with replaced mechanisms and fully polished. So it is not only the presence and quality but also the fact that Yard o Led fully honors their guarantee. With a careful previous owner and no dents the pens I got back were as good as new. Owning such a writing instrument is a bit like the advertisement of Patek Philippe; you never actually own one, you merely look after it for the next generation. It may be obvious that I can only recommend their products.

I picked up a Viceroy Grand Victorian when I graduated university and have loved it dearly. The only negative is that they tarnish, but I rather enjoy the tarnished look myself and still occasionally give it a quick polish. Always writes excellently.

"Yes."

I'm a big fan of YOL pens and of silver pens and silver in general. I don't like the tarnishing and I polish sparingly to prevent wear. I have other silver pens, such as Delta Prestige and Waldmanns which are as bright and untarnished as the day they arrived. I assume they are rhodium coated to prevent tarnish. They don't however have the "warmth" of uncoated silver such as in YOLs.

I've just come into possession of an Astoria. It's beautifully made, feels lovely in the hand and writes extremely nicely. I'd say it's my current favourite, but then every new pen I get is my current favourite! I'd happily recommend the brand to anyone

A couple of YoL FPs have passed through my hands over the years, but I never ever really used them, however, a little while back I made a gift of a 'used' Viceroy Grand Victorian and they never tire of telling me what a wonderful pen it is.

I have, amongst others, a 1946 pencil that requires attention. I have been assured by YOL that they can bring it up to perfect working order. That is service.

I'm a huge fan. I bought a used one last year and fell in love. I was just able to purchase my second. Both the lovely YOL from the 90s and my new YOL (I found a Corinthian) are wonderful writers and just feel so good in my hand. Plus, I never get tired of looking at them. :D
