Wow Wow Wow!!!

The black and gold have an interesting vibe.

(I have tested out a silver and gold one. Don't memba the exact name.)

There are 4-5 different colors combo's possible for the nib.....a very, very 'Springy' nib like MB or the Falcon but much better than my Woolf.

In Heidelberg on the Hauptstrasse/Mainstreet there is a Lamy only pen store. That nib has great tine bend.....but unfortunately only 2 X tine spread.

With 3 X tine spread (semi-flex), I'd connived one already.

The nib will not fit my old Persona.....I do have to call up the factory and ask if the section would fit....then comes the long dithering as I try to decide either which nib colors I want....or if I'll have to   sell pens.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.      Banker's bonuses caused all the inch problems, Metric cures.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

I kind of liked my Persona from way back when.

  • 3 weeks later...

Makes me wonder how Lamy can get the Imporium so right and the 50th anniversary 2000 so wrong.

For the amount of money each cost I'd rather spend my money on an Imporium, if I had it available.

The black Imporium really floats my boat!

I presented myself with one, also the black version, early last year as a present to self/celebration/consolation for several Life Events.

It's a great pen. Heavy but I like that. I have chosen an XF, very unusual for me. And I find it very smooth for an XF. (my Cross Verve XF is smoother)

Only one minor negative point: The threads on the cap sometimes make it sit askew, so you have to unscrew and try again.

You need to try my trick (which actually I got off Stephen Brown on YouTube). Put the cap on, but before twisting, turn the other direction for about 15-30 degrees, then turn the correct direction - it helps line the threads up/

:) Yes, I too saw Stephen's review. That does not change that it IS a small flaw.

I like that so well that I had placed an order for one, prior to seeing this thread, from Iguana sell. I wanted the B nib and they do not have one so are having to order from Lamy and I should have it in a few weeks.

I finally got mine today, just over a month. I had to wait on an oblique bold nib, which is not too bold compare to some other makes, but nice, wet, and smooth. The pictures in previous posts are good but do not do the pen justice, For a modern pen it is rather stunning, different, but rather dignified in appearance.

Regards
