Re-Release Of Sbre Brown

Grrrr, I hate how the FPN connectivity problems caused me to lose what I wrote when I clicked "Post". Anyhow...

New video on youtube from sbrebrown saying that another batch has been made and can be purchased from https://www.vulpennen.nl/en/inkt-and-vullingen/SBREBR.html, now in 60ml bottles instead of 120ml. I had been meaning to buy some of their ink as a Christmas present for a couple of people that will geek out over the bottles, so this encouraged me to place an order. As long is takes less than two months to arrive I'll be happy.

In the hope that someone involved sees this:

Demand seems to be high, but could also be limited so it is understandable that Akkerman do not want to commit to too large a batch, hence two small batches sold out. However, if they allowed pre-ordering, they could then make a batch sufficient to cover that and leave a sensible stock. Customers happy and low commercial risk.

On other matters, I thought it was well established that Diamine made Akkereman inks, the only question being whether they were standard Diamine colours re-named, or whether they were in fact different.

I'm firmly of the opinion that they are NOT just re-named colors -- as opposed to the old Chesterfield inks that xfountainpens.com (now Birmingham Pens) used to sell. Exhibit A is my batch of Registrar's Blue Black IG, which oxidized to a washy blue-grey. Great shading but that's about all you could say for it. As opposed to Ijzer-Galnoten, which is MUCh darker, even after oxidation. Other Akkerman inks that may be "like" Diamine inks tend to have better flow. So, Diamine may be the manufacturer of Akkerman inks, but they're definitely NOT just relabeled.

Nobody has ever said the Iron Gall (Diamine and Akkerman) is the same. But Vis (and others) have put enough swatches and chroma pics side by side with Diamine inks that look identical to Akkerman's.

Vanness has the SBRE Brown ink 60ml listed on their site for $32. Currently listed as "out of stock" I presume this is because they haven't received their stock yet.
