Good question. I don't look at it specifically.

But there are other Noodler inks which take a LOT more drying time then this one.

So, completely subjective, I would say drying time is not that bad.

I like the color very much, and the effect on more absorbing papers is really special.

Yeah I have seen the same with many noodlers on decent paper. This ink looks neat, also thanks for doing the chromatography on these, I always like seeing them.

Has anyone tried this in a fine nib?

I just bought this, and have it in a Sheaffer Prelude with a fine nib. It is understated and very pretty, although I would like to try it in something broader in order to see the shading you are getting. I have not had any problems with bleeding through the paper, or with nasty drying times.

@Gracie: Thanks for the feedback. In my experience the halo-ing will be more visible on more adsorbing papers.

I don't know what is meant by "the aura". I'll try it on more types of paper. My ink looks much less green and lighter than the example at the beginning of this post.

You can see the halo on the right upper side and on the splash, it is the light blue " outlining"

Left below you can see the swabs, and you can see that the amount of ink also gives a big variance in color.

And of course, the paper used has a big effect.

And this is also one of the inks I always shake (or stir...) before is use it, like a lot of Noodler's Inks, they are quit " heavy" and need to be mixed well.

OK, Gotcha! I thought that was just ink on wet paper to show the variance in colour.

 

Thanks for the suggestion to shake the bottle, something I never do in case of any dubious material that may have arrived with the ink and settled to the bottom of the bottle. I had noticed this problem with Noodler's inks, however. I guess that is how they get such wonderful colours.
