Nib Suggestions For Diamine Shimmer Inks?

I think Brian Goulet had a video on shaking inks, and the gist was that it's usually safe to do so, and likely would help in redistributing the shimmer and ensure even tone for inks without shimmer. As long as you don't shake vigorously, you would not be at risk of creating lots of air bubbles at the top of the ink, which is still ok, but you may find more air making it into your pen when you fill it. I tend to invert the bottle, watch to see most of the shimmer disappear from the bottom, then invert again quickly a couple of times.

I have used a Retro 51 with a medium Schmidt nib, LAMY Safari 1.1 stub, and Noodler Ahab with my Herbin and Diamine shimmer inks. I do find the shimmer to hang around in crevices even after I've cleaned the pen, but it doesn't really bother me. Most of the times I don't see them showing up on my writing after cleaning, sometimes a speck or two shows up once in awhile. After a change of ink all the shimmer particles disappear for me.

I haven't experienced clogging with leaving the Herbin or Diamine inks in for up to 2 weeks at a time. But in general, I try to make sure they are used every other day or so.
