Not a green for me (although it looks nice coming out of that flex nib you've got there); and I'm glad to know it ISN'T one of the scented inks -- I love Red Roses, but the other scented inks I've tried? Not so much.... And annoyingly, some of their best looking greens don't seem to have an unscented counterpart.

But thanks for the review. I'm sure it's going to be *someone's* "go to" green -- just not mine....

I've been curious about the Herbs de Provence one -- but I dislike the base color (Petrol).

Overall, the scented inks are hit or miss, in my experience. Lavender (at least as a sample) didn't smell like much of anything -- and otherwise was a really wet dark blue; I was disappointed, because I love the smell of lavender. Patchouli (another one that I think does not come in an unscented version) was awful -- it smelled like a musty basement and not remotely like patchouli, although the color was interesting. The sample I had of Black Roses? Well, if you put your nose right up to the open vial you could smell it a little bit (and was an uninteresting shading black ink otherwise). But Red Roses? It's glorious. And a great color, leaning from magenta pink to red violet, depending on the pen/nib.

Using Google it also looks a little bit like Noodler's Ottoman Rose, please tell me they are almost the same...

Dunno. I have a sample of Ottoman Rose but haven't tried it yet....

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
