Finally mine arrived. Ended up inking it with Diamine Silver Fox: not matching, not contrasting ink. Im out of options ink-wise, don’t have any blues here.

This is a beautiful pen and writes like a dream. I purchased an EF that I use as a daily carry inked up with R&K Königsblau. The supposed "triangular" section is not prominent or even noticeable really. It's nothing like a Lamy Safari. The amount of ink that the ECOs (and now the ECO-T) hold with their piston mechanism design is fantastic.

The only negative thing I've noticed with my other ECOs (and it's not really a big deal) is that when the ink gets down to about 1/4 "tank" it can burp a little.

Great pen, highly recommend.

I'd written it off because of that. Maybe I can locate one somewhere and put it in my hand....

How do you like the combo? I found Kensington Blue a bit on the dry side (although not as bad as Presidential Blue). Have to check my notes to see what pen I had it in.

I keep looking at the Eco-T, but would have to see one up close to be able to decide if I could deal with that bright a color in the long run (I decided that with last year's Pacific Blue Lamy Al-Star -- and ended up spending MORE $$ on a pink TWSBI 580-AL instead...).

Definitely wouldn't describe it as wet, but it's not dry enough to be bothersome for me. That and the lack of sheen kind of remind me of blue school ink. So if you're looking for that nostalgic experience

To me, it doesn't feel as bright as last year's turquoise special edition.

Anyone who has this pen, is the grip better due to the triangle shape?

The triangular grip is really gentle, I almost dont notice it. In my humble opinion, of course. Other people will have different opinions / perceptions of it.

I just got one of these on a whim. Always been a fan of the ECO model generally but never pulled the trigger b/c I have so many pens and none of the older colors spoke to me. I dig this demo/blue/red combo, the price is right, holds a metric butt-ton of ink and feels solidly built.

I was concerned about the grip too but the store tester wrote like a dream and the very gentle grip facets were surprisingly nice in the hand.

This is a whole lot of pen for the money and I find the faceted grip to be very mildly prescriptive and smooth. & unlike my 580AL this one is pretty wet. This is a whopper of a note taker/student pen. A brilliant design all around. The only issue is that it doesn't post but this doesn't affect me as I am a steadfast non-poster.

It will post, but takes a little force to get the cap seated securely. I suspect it would be annoying if you strongly favor posting. Also makes the pen a little top heavy. Fortunately, it's a big enough pen to write with unposted.

I don't like it either. I swapped the colored portions out with my Black Eco. Even then it's not exactly the prettiest but it beats the ugly blue triangular shapes on the Eco T.

I'm a Lamy Safari/Vista fan and I still much prefer them over the Eco-T. Along with the Eco, the Eco-T is a little bulky for my taste.

The only advantages I've found with the Eco-T to have is a less pronounced section if you prefer that and a larger ink capacity.

I think the Eco-T is a god pen, writes well OOTB, has a solid nib, but I wish they worked on the ergonomics a lot more and just came out with a whole new pen altogether at or close to the same price point. I like the ergonomic balance of the Wing Sung 698 much more, but I'm not a fan of that nib nor the section, which I wished had more pronounced lips at the end of the tapered section.

Sounds to me like some of you may prefer the aesthetic of the Diamond 580 - don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the Eco (especially at the price point), but if you want a pen with more refined angles and less 'blockiness', the 580 is a beautiful pen. And in my limited experience, the slightly larger nib on the 580 provides a *slightly* springier writing experience than the Eco... and a wetter experience than the Diamond Mini.

I don't like that blue, but I just got the Lanbitou in lime green and love it.

The translucent orange and green appeals to me, probably will launch at the same time with the GO

IMO, TWSBI is 580AL and I am waiting for them to better it. I find the ECO colors garish.

Yes I am aware. I was referring to a better model/design and not mere color changes.
