Sorry for the lacking comparison with Montblanc Lavender Purple. We just did a direct comparison which

we find gives a very good impression. The Psychedelic Purple is quite different from the Lavender Purple.

And to us, having grey, cold, rainy and windy weather quite uplifting. We are starting to like it a lot.

Best regards

Thank you very much for that. Quite a difference.

Thanks for the comparison. The Beatles Psychedelic is quite vibrant in comparison to the Lavender Purple, which already has plenty of pop. Will definitely be getting some when it hits the boutiques, hopefully soon.

Looks like a mix of Pelikan's 4001 Violet (as shown above, thanks) and Waterman's Purple.

Of course I need another bottle of purple ink...only got 8 and need 15.

With 15 I could actually have enough purple to use some. ;)

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

  • 3 weeks later...

Got 2 bottles of this ink today.

I am very pleased with how vibrant the color is,

it really does pop out :)

This ink will definitely be the color for my Holiday greetings card.

Cheers!

THanks for sharing.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I'm told it's the same ink they use in their rollerballs.

I just checked MBs site and they have rollerball refills with the Beatles ink so it would surprise me if they used the same ink in their standard purple rollerball refill.

It looks like they have the last few SE inks in rollerball refills (Beatles, Exupery, Lucky Organge, Unicef), along with with all the standard colors. It's been a long time since I've used a rollerball but I don't remember having that many options (which is how I ended up getting into fountain pens).
