Looks good Tom, both the pastries and the photographs.

Regards Per.

~ Dear Per:

Thank you!

It was a great surprise to see a copycat version of Lagkakehuset here.

There are almost no traces of international culture here, let alone “foreign” food, so it was fun to try their pastries.

The two Danish-made Coral Red EF nib fountain pens have been superb writers during the process of grading final examinations.

They're both ideal for my needs.

Hi Tom.

Maybe one day "lagkagehuset" will expand it´s enterprises into china, like many other firms have done.

Those green tomatoes really bring out the red colours in the pens, well done.

Regards Per.

~ Dear Per:

The color of the two Danish-made Coral Red EF pens reminded me of tomatoes on the vine.

As it happens, there are tomatoes growing beside the door of the faculty housing where I live.

The photo was made, with two neighbors looking at me, wondering why a “foreigner” would photograph pens by ripening tomatoes.

Thank you for your comment. The two pens are used daily with much happiness.

~ BillH:

Thank you so much for noticing Yubi's special qualities.

He visited his veterinarian today on his seven month birthday.

It was decided to wait one more month before the neutering surgery. His nails were cut.

Happy dog, happy Tom.

Why that, Tom? The procedure is often used in cats, but in dogs?

~ Zdenek:

Yes, dogs are also neutered, generally at around 7 or 8 months.

It's recommended for their long-term health and to limit the canine population.

Where I work the authorities prefer dogs to be neutered.

Yubi was spared for another month as Dr. WANG Bo feels he needs to grow a bit more.

Although his coat is fluffy, Yubi is actually a fairly small-scale puppy.

BTW: Yubi is cat-friendly, as many Pekingese are.

Tom Kellie's supreme photography is stunning. And inspiring.

For one, to keep on acquiring more pens to showcase. But now it has also had me gift myself a Sony Alpha 7M3 camera.

~ Pravda:

WOW! A Sony Alpha 7M3?

That's a powerful, state-of-the-art camera. Excellent for fountain pen, straight razor, local area and family portrait photography.

You're much too kind in your comment. Our own farmdogfan is a superb pen, dog, and bird-in-flight photographer.

The images which you've shared above are all striking. I liked your iPhone X pen images, but these photos are many steps up in overall quality.

The three pens standing up in the pen box above remind me of a long ago comment.

You'd once commented on a photo of three 149 OBBBs that the three different precious metals were all easily differentiated.

Now you've done that with greater clarity than any photograph of mine.

There's no question that it's yellow gold, platinum and red gold, as the hues are readily distinguishable.

The Martelé portrait has a beguiling mysterious quality, as if long hidden treasure revealed.

The composition and the blurred bokeh effect enhance the pen's beauty.

The serpent nib and clip have never looked more impressive than in your version above.

Such clarity and excellent contrast with the richly crimson background.

Wonderful photography! Thank you so much for sharing it.

This inspires me, as it no doubt will inspire others.

With terrific pen collections, the FPN Montblanc Forum contributors have much visual loveliness to show.

~ Zdenek:

Yubi has a one month reprieve.

He's quietly resting this morning, listening to the very heavy rain outside.

The local area is now in the fourth consecutive week of above average rainfall.

No signs of drought here. The aquifer must be fully recharged by now.

Rainy days are ideal for relaxed writing with a fountain pen, a cup of tea with honey, fresh lemon a a sprinkling of cinnamon on the desk.

Happy!

Spider invades China too ?

~ Cyrille:

All flies, gnats and midges are on the alert.

Eight-legged Montblanc predators are on the move, loaded with ink rather than venom.

This may be observed on the Web.

Yes, rainy days are ideal time not only for writing but also for a serious study, especially in the evening.

A cup of tea is always a good companion. Just now I am brewing a sheng puerh.
