Ghost Plane, thank you for the writing samples. Would it be fair to say that Montblanc B, BB, and B Oblique nibs adapt to relatively small / narrow page space?

This writing sample was recorded on grid paper: each side of those tiny squares measures 5 mm.

One of the best quotes I have read in my life..... and a very good allegory for life in general! Thank you!!

Thank you so much.

Great post as always, thank you Tom. Curiosity: Did the students perform as well as the pens? :)

~ A1979 and Ghost Plane:

The three young ladies and one young gentleman are the crème de la crème of the sophomore undergraduates.

Each of them demonstrated poise, sophistication, grace and a professional outlook.

That may explain why they have the rare privilege of an overseas employment experience as undergraduates.

It would be welcome if their dozens of classmates did half as well when their final examination interviews occur in the coming weeks.

One of the deep satisfactions of teaching is seeing firsthand quality thinking from students who've prepared and practiced.

DOES THAT HINT TOWARD A NEW PEN ?

That's a very good question.

Those who are privileged to know the secrets of Montblanc's Hamburg web, may be aware if this is only a cobweb or a strand linked to dazzling spider creation.

Tiny winged creatures want to know nothing more, but courageous collectors dare to see what's hidden in the mists of Heritage Gray ink.

After doing some research on this ink I was able to find an image showing all of the upcoming pens for this year. I would post but I don't believe it's allowed. I'm going to say that I'm a little disappointed in the spider metamorphosis pen as it is only slightly different adaptation of an existing pen.

The diamond spider is sort of related to the spider metamorphosis pens. It is like what the ultimate serpent is to the rouge et noir pens.

The possibility of “Spider Metamorphosis” pens being released later in 2018 is very interesting.

Montblanc's creativity continues to provide fresh interpretations of high quality writing instruments.

Thank you both for clarifying the ink and pens.

There will be a black, coral, tropic brown spider clip pens, a silver spider encasing on ebonite one on a LE and then a couple of Artisan editions also with the same theme.

Certainly, very many cobwebs are coming :) or so says our dear friend, Pravda. But those artisanal pens are heartstopping !!! Maybe they come equipped with a neurotoxin ink .. Edited by nishant

Ha Ha!

Whether a necrotic ink that causes ink to slough off of the paper surface after a few hours, or powerful neurotransmitter ink that results in erratic writing, the Heritage Spider inks are sure to jolt the user.

Presumably safely encased in a spider silk wrapping, they're said to work exceptionally well in the 1993 Patron of Art Octavian.

I've lurked this thread for a while now and I'm so excited to finally have a pen I can share here!

I'm also waiting for a 144 with an OB.... Why not jump in with both feet, right??? :D

You did it!

What I'd considered doing, you actually accomplished.

A 114 with a B nib, in yellow gold, no less.

That's been mulled in my mind for over a year. Therefore your superb photograph of the pen is especially appreciated.

The Atlantic Blue ink from the B nib is vivid. I like it a lot.

Despite writing with a passel of larger pens, I'm drawn to the 114 and the 145, as smaller pens are comfortable for detail work.

The ink color and overall look of the outstanding image make such a powerful impression.

Many thanks for this post. Please know that your posts are highly welcomed!
