Congratulations to your 149, Zdenek! A really timeless and tasteful choice!

And Tom, thanks for helping him to show the pictures of Zdenek's pen.

Thank you very much for your remarks. I am a simple man and I need simple things. :)

Tom brought positive atmosphere and much of enthusiasm to the forum. :) :) :)

These photos, and the amazing oblique broad nibs, are the reason I would consider buying a Montblanc :o

Always glad to see another B lover

One suspects that far more billets-doux are written with expressive Broad nibs than with their finer cousins who scrawl out figures in the accounting department.

There are more members of the Broad Clan than is generally known.

Not only are they fun to write with, but there's those fresh cookies...

The number of Oblique Broad nibs is on the rise!

Earlier this week Reed_thoughts mentioned that no less than three new pens are being fitted with OB nibs, including a POA Peggy Guggenheim, no less.

Montblanc Oblique Broad nibs have a smooth suppleness on fine paper that's pure luxury.

If the photos in this thread are helpful, that's very good to know.

May your Montblanc OB dreams become realities.

I've spent all day since looking at how I can buy a 149 Rose Gold with an OBB or OBBB nib... whoops!

That’s my kind of dilemma.

Does anyone happen to have an oblique broad 149 that they could take a couple of photos of the nib and a writing sample for a likely future buyer? :)

A POA Peggy Guggenheim with an OB nib is cause for celebration.

When you've written with it, it would be great to know your feelings.

Hoping for positive news about a pen about which I'm especially fond.

Well, literally this thread alone has changed me from 'never getting a Montblanc' to 'paid for a 149 Rose Gold with an OB nib, how long will delivery be!?'

:D

Users showing pen paces tend to be more (pun alert) USEful demonstrating what pens can really do as opposed to collectors obsessing about micro scratches and the size storage facility required to store their investments.

So, I just got my newest pen: Patron of the Arts 2016 Peggy Guggenheim.

The pen is a Beauty, and I love looking at it.. but i enjoy it more when using it. I just inked it up with Beatles Psychedelic purple ink. The nib is supposed to be an OB, and it has a sticker saying OB, yet it... KINDA is not. I think it adds to the character of the pen.

The pen is not a B nor is it straight, but it is not the normal oblique angle. With close up you can see the manual person TRIED to do the oblique angle, but was a tad short.

Let me add photos so you understand:

Top of the nib (where the imprint is)

The bottom of the nib (touches the feed)

The whole nib

And lastly: the first thing i did with the pen? Take it apart, naturally. I dont like the original Montblanc lube, it tends to dry up.

I'll write with it in a bit, but no pictures just yet
