Leonardo is the first limited edition I bought several years after my 149 and some other MB pens not FP (mechanical pencil, ballpoint, document marker all in the Meisterstück collection).

EDIT: I bought also before the special edition JFK ballpoint. So Leonardo wasn't the first limited/special edition but the first pen limited edition yes :)

I have had mine since 2015 and i have loved it since!!

Sharing my currently inked, and a few close up details on the Leonardo.

On the Leonardo, notice the "gear" and its "teeth" on the pen, Notice the logo being backwards and the mirror (not pictured), noticed the wing on the grip, and the flying thing on the nib... The body is made out of aircraft aluminum... Everything about the pen is just Fantastic... I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I do.

Thank you for the images. They show much.

What you've helpfully pointed out about your Leonardo enables me to better appreciate its craftsmanship.

As it's made from aircraft aluminum, does it feel light in the hand...or not?

Aww he is an adorable little pup and I wish him a speedy recovery. My two dogs are recovering from (hip replacement) surgery as well. It's amazing to see them bounce back from these major (and quite traumatic) events so quickly.

~ Fountainpencrazy:

Having two convalescing dogs must be a daunting challenge.

I hope that their recovery is complete and rapid.

Thank you for the warm comment about Yubi.

Now that he's feeling better, he's once again active and overtly affectionate.

Every day is enriched by his cheerful, easygoing, warmhearted presence.

Having two dogs you surely must have a similar feeling.

I just acquired this MB 244G, celluloid with amber ink window. A lovely pen, lovely nib and a pleasure to use.

That nice long nib looks like it might be springy

I suspect a good many of us would love the luxury of a few hours alone with this man and our favorite nibs to design ultimate writers.

~ Ghost Plane:

Axel Nier would enjoy doing just that.

He loves his work, helping others to achieve their dreams in personalized writing instruments.

I'd love to be a field mouse hidden in a corner listening to the two of you working out an ideal nib for your writing needs.

Thank you for posting such an excellent photo of your 244-G M nib pen.

It's especially nice to see such a fine pen being enjoyed through use, rather than being bought and promptly resold.

The ink sketch is particularly welcome. I'm grateful to see your talent and the nib combined to such pleasing effect.

There are two 342-G pens on my writing desk, both of which are excellent writers.

When I've considered 244-G and 342-G pens I've often found they had names engraved on the caps.

That suggests that they were fountain pens which were regularly used, rather than stored uninked.

I'm glad that you're using this 244-G!

~ As a teenager half a century ago I was deeply impressed by the character and the music of composer Sergei Rachmaninoff.

When I first saw an image of him proofreading his own Piano Concerto #3 in D Minor, I was impressed by his concentration.

Seated outside, he was a model of what I thought was a worthy attitude. What I eventually learned was that he was fond of pen and ink writing.

I'd never seen any image of Rachmaninoff with a pen in hand until today when by chance I encountered one.

Those of us who savor time spent with pen in hand, whether indoors or outdoors, may appreciate these images.

Thank you for mentioning the Rachmaninoff ink.

I'd never heard of it.

I've learned that Rachmaninoff's fountain pens remain in his family.

They would be something special to see.
