Problem Seating Converter New Aion?

My standard procedure with any new Lamy pen is to flush the pen first, then use the provided blue cartridge. If no problems arise, THEN I use the converter.

Same here. I got mine from the small independent store Warwick's in San Diego. Convertor was included. I think there may be options for retailers when ordering from Lamy. I know (I think) that Pelikan for example charges retailers for boxes ... so when ordering online, the pen may come with a different or no box.

I found that my Z26 (compatible with the CP1) did not seat in my Aion. It was loose. I couldn't insert a Z24 (for Safar/Al-Star) because the little nubs were in the way. I modified the Z24 by stripping off the nubs with a knife. The resulting stripped Z24 fits the Aion very well.
