Conway Stewart Universal Pens

Hi,

 

A 3.5 year old topic but I recently purchased a Conway Stewart International pen, 350 that is in blue (part of pen lot). The bit that was covered by the cap shows the original blue, kind of medium blue, whilst the rest of the pen has discoloured to a light sky blue.

Will add some photos if anybody is interested.

Forgot to mention this colour is not mentioned in JONATHAN DONAHAYE's Conway Stewart's numbered pens web page.

On the subject of the Conway Stewart Universal 479 I read from various sources that CS used the 479 for “own brand” customers, one of them being The Empire pen for the Boy Scouts organisation (see p. 83 Fountain Pens for the Million, Empire pen number 411 Steve Hull) two of the Empire pens are shown in a “Zebra” pattern. I have recently come into a Conway Stewart 479 in brown Zebra that is a Universal 479 with CS clip, lever and a no. 5 CS nib. No mention of
