Lecai Acrylic Eyedropper With Waterman #2 Wet Noodle (Also Stock Review)

Mine has arrived today from China, ordered on November 1 without a package number. The number of laps for the lid is exaggerated, but the pen looks tough and good.

Still no sign of mine. But it's only been 21 days since the date order was made.

Maybe you got a better one. Mine is ridiculus and unusable.

Why, because of the cap and how many turns it takes to unscrew?

You took the words right out of my mouth!! This is EXACTLY the direction I've gone in....cheap but good Chinese pens for crazy inks and tried-and-true vintage pens for everything else.

Same here, gravitating more towards vintage pens and cheap Chinese pens now too. Also, don't forget the Indian-made pens. I recently bought a full ebonite eyedropper from ASA pens and the quality of the pen for the price I paid just totally blew me away. It wrote very smoothly right out of the box.

I agree indian ebonite is a solid choice. They still have a ways to go for nibs, but they all use standard #5 and 6 nibs, and ebonite feeds are something that REALLY needs to make a comeback.

FYI - I ordered 2 of these with one order and received one of each cap type, 7 turns and 1.75 turns.

I've heard similar regarding the supposed lack of quality in Indian nibs, but the one that I got (#6 nib labelled 'Gama') is very very good and needed zero adjustments. I might have been lucky. YMMV.

This is not good. Hoping the one on it's way to me is the latter. I'm having a hard time with my Opus 88 Koloro, which takes 4 full turns to uncap. 7 turns would be too much.

I'm currently messaging sellers to see if any will guarantee me a 1.75 turn pen. I'll let y'all know!

I tried that with a few sellers but none gave me a satisfactory answer. Could be the language barrier. Did any get back to you?

Absolutely! Indian ebonite pens are great, especially if you get them with non-Indian nibs installed. The problem then is that they are no longer inexpensive. As far as writing experience alone goes, Chinese really offer the best deal. If only Jinhao would start making ebonite pens!

I concur about the Indian nibs. I've yet to come across a delightfully smooth or flexy Indian nib, but the pens themselves can be fantastic.

+1 for a comeback of ebonite feeds! My FPR ebonite pens with ebonite feeds have been the perfect match for some vintage flex nibs. It's like impossible to railroad with those nice juicy feeds which the folks at FPR have tweaked for maximum flow (when you get the feed with their matching "flex" nib, that is).

 Every juicy OBB nib should have that much ink behind it. Beautiful!!

Interesting, when did you order it?

I find it really, really funny that we've all decided this is now the pen of choice for nibs that belong in $500 pens.

I ordered it November 17, 2017.

I havent exchanged nibs, but I did snip one tip off and ground it into a stub.

I bought it as a spare nib from a seller in my city. I also bought a 146 14k BB nib. Both of them are crisp and produce a very good line variation  .

The seller Best999 was very helpful and checked all their pens for me. They say that their full stock takes seven turns.

Which sucks, because they're the only one that's actually been helpful and I'd love to reward that with my business, and by telling you guys to buy from them... but I'm not gonna buy a seven turn one.

Maybe I'll get one for my brother just to annoy him with the cap.

yolanda.east2010 has told me that they're out of stock.

jpzh11 and chace_expo2010 are the same seller. Sent me the exact same response within 3 minutes of each other. yolanda.east2010 may be the same too, since all three are out of stock.

Can we see a photo of the writing sample with that OBB nib?

Thanks for this info, very helpful, especially the fact that some sellers are in fact one of the same. Disheartened to see some sellers's inventory being full of the 7 turns variant. I ordered mine from an ebay seller named 'pp_562'...have you tried contacting them?

Nope, I haven't. I found 'em on Ebay just now (once you asked) and they don't seem to be selling it. Could you link me?

Hi, I have ordered two from eBay seller that ensures me that it takes three turns to uncap... will see when they arrive.

I've been unable to find an Ebay seller who'll guarantee me a 1.75 turn version - anyone interested in selling theirs? I'll pay up to $20
