I'm A Sad, Pathetic Stationery Junkie.

I figure stationery Junkie items include more than paper. I saw a Delfonics utility pouch on Reddit. I’ve bought their notebooks. So yep, I ordered one. It will hold notebooks, pens, washi tape, and other stationery stuff.

I got these on Etsy. The company has a website too, www.flypaperproducts.com.

I’ve tried the larger notebook with blank paper, and it is fountain pen friendly with a Pilot CM nib, and a Pilot B nib. The smaller notebook has 5 colors that have the same library card printing as seen on the front. The description said it could be used for lists, to do’s. It’s more like card stock, so it should work well with fountain pens. I haven’t tried it yet. The white card holder was an extra with a 15% off code on the blue insert.

Love these!  I'm old enough to remember signing for library books.  It was always interesting seeing who else had read the book.

I really thought I was done ordering leather notebook items. But I ended up preordering the Travelers Notebook olive cover. I’m bad.

Where are the sad, pathetic stationery junkies at these days?  I’m still trying to add to the stash. This notebook is from Vietnam.

I’m trying to figure out which notebook to use as a commonplace notebook. Maybe the one with the bird, or others. I’m just not sure.

I'm still out here. I just had a crazy busy Easter. The family all come to visit and I spend days in the kitchen and then lots of catching up and talking and then lots of cleaning up.

And now the last visitor has gone on their way and my first thought is... oh that's right, I was trying to decide which mechanical pencil to order. Or maybe I should get both. And I saw another that looks nice... yes, life is back to normal.

Will work for pens...

Present! I went to drop off donations and check out the paper selection at Goodwill. I found loose leaf from India, a mystery composition book, and Daiso calligraphy paper.

@Penguincollector  I need to check out the Goodwill store, and Red Racks for stationery stuff.

@AmandaW which mechanical pencils did you get?  I have quite a few of them.

I finally decided to use a Write Notepads notebook I got awhile ago. Write Notepads donates notebooks to schools. That seemed fitting for a Commonplace book.

I still can't decide between a 0.7 Lamy 2K and a Pentel Kerry. And now I found the Uni Pure Malt 0.5mm... They are all so handsome.

But what I actually need is a 2mm holder because the one I have is too skinny to hold on achy-hands days. That's what started the looking. Winter is coming and there will be more days like that.

Being a Sad Pathetic Stationery Junkie makes it so difficult. And fun.

Will work for pens...

It’s good to have choices. And we have so many now.

Well, I chose. Finally. Not the Lamy 2000 or the Pentel Kerry, I'm getting a clutch pencil made from reclaimed ebony wood. It's a 2mm with a nice curvy shape handmade by a UK artist. It's my favourite size for drawing, but the skinny holders I have hurt too much. I'll be able to keep using the leads I already have instead of switching to a 0.7 or something.

So excited. I have to tell someone! I tried to explain to my family and they look at me like I'm losing it. Again.

Please, do post pictures of your new pencil. It promises to be a real beauty.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

To be honest, I have fallen off the wagon!

We recently moved house and my partner was surprised when I unpacked all my boxes of notebooks and paper - she asked if I was intending to open a stationery shop! So I reckoned it may be better for interpersonal relationships if I stopped for a while and tried using up what I have.

Sorry lads but I have decided to give up this wayward path and become a "normal" writer with fountain pens - which I have not stopped purchasing!
