Why, where? A spa to recuperate? A writers' and artists' colony since your supplies are at the ready?

I was thinking somewhere with cozy padding on the walls cos after a huge cleaning effort I am left with only 49 inked pens... I was volunteering before anyone suggested it necessary.

In my defence that does include things like a full set of Parallel pens, a rainbow of TWSBI Eco and any others that just never dry out.

Will work for pens...

Ah, Amanda and Misfit, that makes me feel a little better. I'm not the only one who inks way too many pens. However, I've cleaned some out this week and I'm down to 27 inked.

"Cozy padding on the walls"? A place with white coated men to attend to your every need per chance? Would you like one of those snug jackets with extra long sleeves and buckles at the back as well?

Lol. Yes, they're the ones. Might be difficult to use a pen though, so maybe a nice quiet creative place would be more helpful.

I don't think they allow pens in those places... or paper, to be honest.  Might want to stick with other options!

I’ve started to want a Leuchtturm notebook in Berry. I returned some items to Amazon, and have $44.98 in credit.  I’ve been trying to decide what to spend it on.

Seems perfectly reasonable to want a notebook to go with your new Conklin pen. It only raises an eyebrow when one wants 2 dozen or something. And even that could be fair if on a fantastic special or clearance...

@AmandaW the idea of mismatched socks got me thinking of complementary colors for notebooks and pens. Like purple and turquoise. I posted a photo of my new socks in Let’s Talk.

What notebook do you use for journaling?

I'm waiting for an auction to finish. I bid a few days ago after asking the seller if they would combine shipping if I bid on something else from their listings (I had just won a pen). It was a weak moment. I probably bid too much not wanting to look like a scumbag when the snipers came along to get it. I want the pen, but not this discomfort. Only a couple of hours to go. Sigh.

Does the Manual have a category for this ailment?

Will work for pens...

Or, I could try a Rhodiarama softcover notebook for the first time. I have six Leuchtturm notebooks in A5, and two in A6 size.

The berry notebook is a pretty color, but I've never tried one because I've heard they aren't good with fountain pens.  Have you had good luck with yours?

@InkyColors I use a purple dot grid Leuchtturm to write pens and inks in when I put ink in a pen. I love stub and italic nibs, and don’t have a problem with them. I do know that I use less pressure when writing compared to my brother. I have also used a Copper lined version successfully.

I’ve never tried a Rhodiarama notebook, but all those colors are so tempting. My problem is I acquire notebooks, and don’t use them. I’ve never used my Lime, Chocolate, Army with red dots, and Nordic Blue with 120g paper Leuchtturm notebooks. And I’ve fallen off writing pens and inks in the Leuchtturm and Clairefontaine spiral notebooks used for that.

Thanks.  Maybe I'll give one a try - but first I need to use up some of the notebooks that I already have!

Ha! I need to do that too. I’m having a harder time than I expected choosing what to use the $44 credit for.

Right then. The Great Pen Clean is completed, Log updated and my Currently Inked book has a new tab entitled 2023 to carry forward those which did did not need cleaning. Sigh.

That means I now only have 49 inked pens (and will not admit how many were dried out or nearly so). My records are such that nothing was out of control, other than the total number of pens inked, I knew exactly which ones and where they were. It was a worry.

Do I need to book myself in somewhere?

You probably need to come over to my office.  :)

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

To hear my rights before I'm committed? I knew it.

I wrote two empty and cleaned them. And used a bunch of the other 47. Making progress.

Will work for pens...
