I got two deliveries today. A Jet Pens order with a customizable Uni Style Fit ( body pen in black with refills. Plus a RayMay pen case, and a syringe. I like the looks of the Jet Pens syringe with the millimeters markings. The Field Notes arrived as well.

Just placed an order from Jet Pens for two 100 sheet packs of Tomoe River Sanzen 52 gsm and a pack of Life Touch Airmail envelopes to get to the free shipping threshold. My Tomogawa TR is almost gone. Probably less than 10 sheets.

My name is Amber, I am an addict.  It has been one day since I resisted temptation.  I don't count the days when I cannot go out.  Today, I didn't go to the office supply store or the local B&Ms that I like to frequent and instead, I bought text books and Legos  (for my son).  I left Lego-Less and Habit-Less.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

A nice person here sent me notebooks. They match pens I got at Five Below. I have ordered Field Notes, and oh, more Field Notes. I’m a buyer, but not always a user.

I saw these Field Notes on Reddit. They come from a website that primarily sells clothing for the medical profession. The customizable multi pen in red is a Pilot Hi-Tec-C Coleto 1000. It is plastic, but sort of looks metallic, and is a very pretty red. The Field Notes with the images on the cover is blank paper, and the other two have lined paper.

Just opened a new box (3-pack) of Elemental Paper Proton fieldbooks to put a fresh one in my notebook. Too bad Elemental is no longer around, but I do have two more boxes after this one, so still good for a while (not 'out and about' too much these days).

Did anyone send you Zebras in the mail?

Why yes, I forgot that Stationery Junkie is more than paper. The wonderful, generous, super cool @amberleadavissent me not only a Zebra highlighter and rollerball, she also sent Pilot pens (not fountain pens) she likes.  I tried putting a Pilot Precise Grip in my Sherpa cover, and wasn’t sure if the inside piece secured it completely for capping.  I’ll try again. I never knew Zebra made highlighters.

Speaking of zebras… did you know they can’t be tamed?  Yet you can feed a zebra with approved food at a drive through animal park.

Oh good. Here goes... I am fed up with my swatching tools - a flat brush and a dip pen made out of a Jinhao nib in a dip nib holder - and thinking I need (???) a brass Kakimori nib. Am I nuts? I wouldn't need a handle, it could replace the Jinhao nib, so there is that. But then I want to get the Sailor Hocoro fude and 2.0, but the latter isn't in stock. Maybe I get the Kakimori brass nib and the Hocoro fude. That would leave the risk of  getting the Kakimori stainless steel nib and the  Hocoro 2.0 some day. Now I am sure I am nuts cos this isn't the right place to be talked down is it?

Will work for pens...

If you really want them, so badly that you don't find their asking price a deterrent and in spite of my (and others') anecdotal feedback that the nib units have a bit of wobble, I'll check to see if they fit inside a ‘large letter’ mailer, and if they do, send you my two Hocoro pens with those exact nibs next week, no strings attached.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Exactly. I do still want them because they can be used to draw with sumi ink. but with a proper fountain pen nib rather than a catchy dip nib. And a Sailor nib at that. I figured I can ignore the wobble. I love the smell of sumi ink.

OK, I'll go check.

I can so understand that. I just can't stand the wobble; it adds a quarter of a century to my age (past my use-by date) if random, faceless, completely irrelevant handwriting analysis experts were to assess what those Hocoro pens put down for me on the page.

Thank you Amber for posting this. I had wanted one of these in the past but had resisted. One of my journals is color coded and it seems like I never have the right ink in a pen when I need it. Hopefully this will solve the problem. I do use DeAtramentis document inks in that journal, so I hope they are easy to clean out of this pen (and work well with it.)  I’ve placed my order. Now for the waiting.

Or you could go vintage and get a Esterbrook desk pen. They often show up on eBay for under $20 or double that with the 444 base. They look like this:
