Unfortunately, your journey has just begun. So many notebooks out there that are suitable for journaling, so many pens nibs, tips to try for various titles and headings and fonts.

Ah, if it were only that simple!

This Bullet Journaling thing is a rabbit warren.

It started as a mere trial to see if I liked it and, I thought, the modest choice of a softcover notebook. I repurposed a tiny Lihit Lab pen case to hold the selection of stationery chosen from things I already had. Sort of, just a few extra things on account of the colour scheme. All good. Except for the washi tape. And the pencil board. And the other stuff.

Then I ordered a Lihit Lab notebook cover cos softcover is flimsy. Thankfully it's fantastic!!! - and will fit both the Leuchtturm notebooks already purchased to follow on from the softcover. Yeah, I'm good for paper for a year and 5 months... except for the Peter Pauper someone mentioned.

Then I begin to be unhappy with the main pen allocated to the cause - it has to be very fine to work in the tiny space of the 5mm dots but sturdy enough for constant use and not a hint of scratchy cos I'm now in no mood for discomfort. The choice is a Kaweco Perkeo cos I just got one from an outlet and it's really good except for the fine nib. Not fine enough. The only way to get one finer is a custom grind. Yeah, I'm getting an All Black with a PO nib, but then I ordered a few more fine ones in different colours to avoid spending more on shipping than pens. Made sense at the time.

Tell me that's it.

Some nibs do acceptably with reverse writing. You might turn the nib over and determine if the pen now works like an extra fine nib.

Hmmm, that may have been me.

I have stopped using Washi tape with my BJ.  I do, however, keep an assortment of pens inked in different colors with a few larger nib sizes mixed in (along with my "writing" pens) all in an eight-pen Taccia kimono pen wrap which I can easily carry around with my BJ.  I then have at my fingertips colors to contrast and larger nibs with which to draw in grids. make charts, etc.  Washi tape started making everything look too cluttered for me where my journals no longer had the streamlined aesthetic look I prefer.

I have been trying to fine a small notebook to keep grocery lists.  I do not like the slicker paper some companies use.  I would prefer lined pocket notebook size and wire bound at the side, but I am finding that most of the companies whose small notebooks I like don't seem to be in stock at reasonable prices.  I think it's another pandemic supply change thing.  I will add to this thread if I actually succeed in tracking down what I am looking for. I am even having trouble purchasing my normal lined sugarcane paper pads that I use regularly.  Sorry.

Sounds like me and my Franklin. Since 1986. That makes 2022 year 37 of continuous use. I have changed binders a couple of times over the years.

I have an old Preference collection case for wire bound calendar and address book.  I still use it as my main address book, but have switched to BJ for my calendars - I got sick of spending so much money plus postage every year as the size I have is one I have to order from the company.

The leather is beautiful and has a lovely patina.  London Harness Co., I believe.  The velcro closure had to be replaced, but the stitching still is good.

I also still have my Coach wallet that I purchased in high school.  It has aged better than I have!  Don't know if that would still be true of the products they sell today, though.

OK, I confess I didn't need any more stationery so I shopped online and ordered stationery for everyone on my Christmas gift list. I did try very hard to think of thing they might like and used my... er... expertise to choose.

Will work for pens...

I wish I knew you!  I would have been grateful, especially since I'm not allowed to buy any more stationery for myself! ;)

This was on my desk this morning when I arrived from my co-workers.

Card, notebook and plant. My mom passed away on Halloween, so that was the reason.

Condolences; glad your co-workers were thoughtful and left you some good stationery.  I love variegated plants - perhaps there should be pen, paper and plant matching.

Sorry for your loss.

How very thoughtful of them.  Very impressive with the sugar paper notebook.

Someone has been paying attention. I guess writing letters on my lunch hour for the last three plus years will do that. Of about 18 of us in my department, only about six or seven have been there longer than I have.

Picked up the following from Goulet last night:

3 Apica A7

1 Apica B5 never tried this size before really. I usually go smaller like the A7 or A5 or A4.

1 Apica A5

In the past I have usually just bought the A7 in the Apica notebooks. Thought I would give these others a try.
