I'm A Sad, Pathetic Stationery Junkie.

Wow eleven new bottles! I've all but given up on finding new ink I like. My greatest fear is that my two favorite inks will be discontinued and I'll have to sell off my fountain collection and go back to ballpoints. Because that's not an overreaction at all.

Don’t worry, I’ve cleverly stock piled enough ink for everybody. In case of an ink shortage we can all just meet at my house.

Thanks - appreciate it. I can help out with notebooks when they decide making paper contributes to global warming and ban them. Then I will start an underground paper movement and capitalise.

Bemon those leather covers are gor-ge-ous!

Thanks to a couple of campus-wide activities I caught up with old friends and met some newcomers. One of my most prominent thoughts was looking at the people but seeing all the notebooks they're going to leave in the rec room at the end of the semester, almost untouched.

Stationery addicts have a one-track mind. :P

Thanks! Yeah, I have a handful of leather wraps with notebooks in them that are completely untouched. I’m nearing the end of my current Leucturrm medium hard cover notebook I use at work that goes in my Onestar cover. I was going to give the smaller brown notebook a work out but my sister just gave me two new Luecturrm inserts, which I really like so I’ll keep the black one at work a while longer.

This sad, pathetic stationery junkie hasn’t been on this site in a while as life has been extremely busy. But that doesn’t I haven’t been busy shopping for more stationery. Since returning from Japan with all my goodies I’ve become hooked on Endless Recorder notebooks and bought 6, bought another 8 Nuuna notebooks (I’m a sucker for the pattern continuing across the edges), 1 of each of the Midori “color” notebooks, as well as several new pens and inks. Oh, and I received a beautiful 2020 planner from Milligram (no affiliation) as a surprise gift.

While not as bad as Inkypete, I have somewhere close to 200 notebooks, most of which have Tomoe River paper. Now if life could slow down a little so I can sit and play with them.

So basically we're all covered.

My Pad and Quill order came today. I ordered a mid sized leather cover notebook which is about 7x9" as well as a full size leather padfolio that takes a regular 8.5x11" pad.

Here they are together.

Here's the medium sized notebook open. Hard to tell if I like it more than my OneStar book, time will tell! I do like that it's got card pockets on the inside. Why people still give me business cards in 2020 I don't know, but they do and now I have some place to put them. (Assuming I don't go back to my soft and well broken in OneStar book)

here it is against my OneStar cover. It's only slightly taller, but just about maxed for width and height. It's a little lighter with the notebook inside than my OneStar with it's Leuchturrm book, but there are a lot of factors at play there including years of absorbed skin oils in the black cover. (Gross, I know.)

The full size padfolio was the real score and I'd been sitting on this purchase for a while. I genuinly like that there are imperfections in the leather. It's heavy, feels solidly constructed and I know I'll get some real use out of this at work. Collier is on top for size reference.

My disappointment is that the pen loop is too small to easily fit my Lamy 2000, which is my default stealth meeting pen. It fits the GVFC barrel well, but anything wider than that is a struggle.

fpn_1582225244__8x11_2.jpg

Lamy 2000 squeezes in securely, but doesn't tuck into the loop all the way.

Anything sized similarly to the M800 won't even fit inside the folio. I wouldn't trust it not to fall out walking around.

Aside from the small circumference pen loop I'm happy with the construction and look of these accessories. As I said the mid size book probably won't permanently usurpe my OneStar cover, but the full size pad is getting put to use at my very next meeting.

Your notebook simply reminded me of my old one. Leather and nearly 40 years old. Stitching still intact.

All I have to do is swear off ink (except thrift store/yard sale bounties) and the next thing you know, a bottle on Pilot blue-black is on its way. Because I didn't have any.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

I picked up the gray version of the Chiefs notebook I got earlier in brown. Sadly there are quite a few left. We need more notebook junkies!

I placed what for me is one of the larger paper/notebook orders I have ever made from Goulet tonight.

Original Crown Mill bicolor notecards (cream/navy & cream/green), two Clairefontaine Neo Deco notebooks (constellation and diamond), Leuchtturm dot grid in anthracite A5, 2 Apica CD5 notebooks.

That's the kind of good, solid financial planning that's ensured that I have a life time of pens, inks, and papers. I am the stationery equivalent of the international seed vault, probably.

Cream and navy plus cream and green cards? Time to stock up on matching envelopes and inks! You make me wish I maintained an active correspondence, but when I show of my pretty writing paper, I expose my bad spelling. What to do?
