Field Notes National Parks Series A (Yosemite, Acadia, Zion) and Series B (Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, Mount Rainier) arrived in today's mail. I probably overpaid, but had an Amazon gift card. I will get the Series C still. A cousin was staying at the Graduate Hotel in Iowa and picked up a set of the FN from the hotel. Don't have those in hand yet though......

Just ordered TWO Bond Travel Gear journals with the 68gsm Tomoe River in A5 size. Why TWO? Buying one would have cost me another $5 in shipping. So why not spring for a second journal to get free shipping. Might as well get something for my money. Sounds reasonable, right?

I wish they were still selling the notebook without the cover. I have two and I'm very pleased with them.

Oh, those are neat. I saw one at pen club. What colors did you choose @ 5Cavaliers?

Both are black, but one with the seafoam zipper pull and the other with the orange zipper pull.

I have heard a rumor that they might sell refills. But understand that their business isn't selling notebooks but covers, pouches and the like.

I've already written about this at painful, probably boring length on another thread, but it looks like my three remaining journals are finally going to arrive and I can stop stockpiling for awhile. Twenty-five of my favorite hardcover leather bound journals is probably enough, right?

That means the eleven other blank books and eight mini books I'm hoarding can be used for other projects besides the daily journaing. And then there are the blank letter pads, and calligraphy paper, and actual stationery. Good thing I've been stockpiling ink!

What do you do when you really like shopping, but don't need to buy anything? Guess I might have been procrastinating just a bit on getting my writing done...

I enjoy using brush pens in my “arty” endeavours so I’ve just ordered a set of the new Sailor dual-tipped Brush Pens in the Shikiori ink colours.

I've been there. At one time I had over 200 new notebooks, (not the spiral bound school notebooks). I had scores of Moleskine notebooks and sold them, recouped most of my money. I still have a lifetime supply of new notebooks. I haven't bought anymore in weeks. Lately it's been buying Blackwing Volumes pencils. If it's not one thing it's something else.

It depends, which are your favorite leather bound journals? I may need one...or 25.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

200! I love FPN, there's always someone who makes my collection seem anemic and aspirational at best. Obviously, I need to raise my standards. :notworthy1:

I go on at length about them in my Graphic Image sale thread. They're painfully expensive, but I've formed an addiction.

And having stock piled so many, I sincerely hope I don't find another journal I like more.

NOTEBOOK ADDICT posted my photos of the entire 200 notebooks. It was an eye opener and I provided a complete inventory.

Yesterday, while at my new house, I unpacked 2 suitcases of notebooks. Even I was shocked (and a little embarrassed) by how many notebooks I have. Oh dear, this is what happens when you cant see them. Luckily Im having some extra shelving built into the robes in my study to cater for shoes and notebooks.

Do you have a link for these? I was recently give a set of Arteza "water" pens since I like to watercolor. But these certainly don't look like I should use them with ink.

Is "robes" short for wardrobes, or do you have some very serious dressing gowns?

And, I've fallen off the wagon again. I missed the SF Pen Show, so I comforted myself by ordering a soft 5"x7" travel notebook with a funky python skin cover. I think it's actually stamped calfskin. but honestly I like adorable baby calves more than Everglades destroying pythons. Sorry danger noodles.

:) Ah, see Im Australian and we shorten pretty much every word of 2 or more syllables. So much so that Id forgotten that robes means anything other than an abbreviation for wardrobes. I cant remember the last time I heard wardrobes, theyre always built-in robes, walk-in robes etc. Oddly though, the robe of which you speak is usually known as a dressing-gown or a bath-robe. So much for abbreviations.

(Note: The missing apostrophes are due to the way this site treats apostrophes typed in from my iPad, rather than another Australian abbreviation. ;))

I suspect I'd call your "built-in" and "walk-in" a "closet"... Though given the rest of your message, closet is probably your shortening of "water-closet"

We English speakers are all divided by a common language (with apologies to Mr. Shaw.)
