Well, I pulled the trigger. From Goulet:

Coloring test book

Girologio zippered 12 pen case

From Field Notes:

Clandestine

Three Missions (Gemini, Mercury and Apollo)

Utility (ledger)

So probably about 10 books....

I bet you will really enjoy Three Missions. A pen pal wrote that where his other fountain pens did not work in some Field Notes, Pilot Varsity fountain pens did.

Looks like I have a reason to finally buy a set of Pilot Varsity fountain pens. Colorverse has put out their own notebook called Nebula. Want one or two....

Saw that on the Goulet Instagram feed this week. After I ordered the case.

Isn’t that the way it goes? Place an order then look at an email or blog and BAM the perfect item is mentioned.

I actually passed on a pretty good price for a Pelikan M205 demo on Massdrop as I was looking. (~$95)

I grabbed one of the Utility books (ledger) to keep track of some information. I use three different double edge (DE) razors - all vintage. The newest one was made in 1967 and which one I am using with what blade and how many shaves... I have been using a Japanese notebook to do this. (Kokuyo maybe?)

I have a weakness for Nanami Seven Seas notebooks.

Let's just say, if he'd go out of business today, I'd be good for the next few years. Which brings me to my next point : I doesn't help that I am paranoid and he *is* a one-man outfit.

So all of you please do your part and keep him in business :D

I love them and also find Elia Note very similar but with even more pages! I recommend you to give them a try

Very nice cover, Runnin_Ute.

I’ve bought NOTHING all year until today when I made a detour past Officeworks. Why? Because I haven’t bought anything all year.

I bought an A5 Notebook by the brand Otto because I loved the matt black cover and black trim on the paper ends. I know the paper is ok and there is some bleed through but... I loved the cover. After testing it at home, the bleed through is slight if l use a drier and less saturated ink it. So I’ll head back this week and get the one with the black and white speckled cover.

  • 3 weeks later...

This thread inspired me to ‘go shopping in my closet’ rather than pulling the trigger on yet another online order. I have sixteen blank journals all with leather covers, an entire side board filled with writing paper, engraved notes, cards and matching lined envelopes, plus I found another plastic tub full of boxed sets of Demsey and Carroll, Montblanc, and Crane’s. I journal daily, but I frankly can’t remember the last time I wrote an honest to god letter.

I either need to up my correspondence game or have one hell of a virtual garage sale.

InCoWriMo is less than a year away! ;)

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

I received my Field Notes Spring shipment recently, which didn't stop me from buying an Artist's Loft Journal on sale at Michaels a few days ago...

A letter a day? I guess that’s one way to get over writers block

Given that I'm not very talkative, a "letter a day" is about what they'd get...

Hmm, do I count the blank page days for the spaces? :lticaptd:

Nicely done, Baron.

I like to think the letter comes on heavy white paper, a full color coat of arms and baronial titled letter head complete with appropriate coronet with whatever stately home you happen to be in residence at for the return address.

I enjoy a healthy dose of pretense with my puns.

I got the Spring edition of my subscription from Field Notes, and ordered a Red Dots Leuchtturm notebook (up to 4 of those plus a pocket size).

I don't know about you, but receiving my subscription shipment from Field Notes always makes me want to buy more notebooks...And I usually don't bother to resist.

Sort of, yes. I found the Red Dots version on sale 20% off, and it was a color of interest. It’s like I had no choice but to buy it, I was looking at Rhodia Goalbooks at the time. A blog had a link to jbwelly.com. I checked it out; they are in Seattle.

There was a close out tab. Click. Oh look! And media mail shipping for notebooks only, so shipping was $3+

I feel guilty when I buy pocket notebooks that aren’t Field Notes.

Every time I log in to FPN I am hoping there will be a new notebook reviewed that I don't know exists, some new loose leaf paper someone has discovered at a budget price, a new leather notebook cover someone has found from a little known maker, a new fountain pen that delivers the ultimate smoothness.........I really am a sad, pathetic stationery junkie.
