I'm A Sad, Pathetic Stationery Junkie.

Oh, I forgot. In addition to the pads provided by Pelikan at last month's hubs. I got an Itoya Profolio PJ-SM-BRY notebook, a Apica CD5N notebook and a couple of Elan Publishing Field Books. (3.5 x 5.5) I have been using the Apica CD5N for four or five years now as a shirt pocket notebook. The Itoya is slightly larger. Have only written a page or two of one of the Field Books so far.

Well, I did it. I bought a Hobonichi Techo.

Even so, the second it became available, I nearly fell over myself to put in an order for it.

Added: So 10/18 where are you now with it. I laughed because I did the same. I barely use the thing. What's worse, I am going to get a Hobo Avec for 2019; bwwwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Every time I doubt myself I come back to this thread for my inspiration. Then I go buy more notebooks.

I barely use mine, either. I was using it to scribble notes down during the day so I could transfer them into my bullet journal at night. I did okay taking the notes well into February, but stopped adding to the bullet journal midway through January. After enough notes built up, I just gave up. And just as sad...I fully expect to buy another one this year. I don't have to kill myself to get a cover this year, but I'm sure I'll get the notebook. Because paper!

Real or potential use is not a factor when buying stationery. You just want it.

Half dozen, IMO.

You should have enough paper in case of an apocalypse/to leave in your will for for the next gen.

At the bare minimum. I also have supplies for all my family and friends, should they need them.

Temporary/short lived gratification, an unfortunate side effect of being a stationery junkie.

Fortunately, I only spend what I am prepared to lose as most of the purchases are still unused.

Hopefully, you have a decent variety should family and friends turn out to be picky users. :D

Wise words!

I found a great little shop in Old Alexandria VA called Penny Post. It's on King St.. I walked in and lost myself!

If my wife hadn't come in and dragged me out, I'd probably still be there

I'm going to have to pay a visit to Tabula Rasa soon. It's been too long. Locally owned and operated Social Stationer. And yes they have fountain pens and inks too. I bought my bottle of Diamine Ancient Copper there. I got some Rhodia there on a couple of occasions as well. Crane is one of the paper brands they carry.

Headed into the city today for a rare visit. Had to go to Muji whilst I was there and bought 6 passport size notebooks (back up to the 7 I have), a two ring A5 binder, a couple of packets of loose leaf (in case I suddenly use the 5 packets I have in the wardrobe) and a 2019 A5 diary because I like the layout. Nice day out and not too much spent.

I like the way you think. Back ups to the bak ups.

That is probably why I have so much ink, and so many pens. Back ups are important, right?

You can never have a problem having too many notebooks (not that there is such a thing) but you take a risk having too few.
