Funny that you mention B&N...  The chain recently announced that they are opening a store here.  We haven't had one of the larger booksellers here in thirteen years.

This was a a gift from @fireant (who is awesome),  and it’s so beautiful- I had to share a picture. It’s from Hong Kong. Thank you, I would never have come across this on my own and I love it so much!large.IMG_0894.jpeg.c05da26e1a064f5b6d13feb37aff586c.jpeg

That’s cool @Penguincollector

If pen/pencil pouches count as stationery, and I think they do, I have one on order from Novica. It’s from their Silk Road items, made by a woman in Uzbekistan. I’ll post a photo once it arrives.

Speaking of pouches, I stumbled upon a leather football (soccer) themed cigarette pouch last week-end that has a size perfect for carrying several Kaweco Sport (or Liliput) pens on a pocket. Yeah, they'd be in contact and rattling against each other, but, as mine are Stonewashed, Brass or Copper, I do think that would not harm, but rather add to them :D

I prefer to carry them in a pouch 'cos otherwise they tend to lean horizontal, which is a PITA, and this way I can take several with various inks.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

This popped up TODAY on my Google News feed. I'm thinking this vendor out to be paying customers to take these planners...

The date to day-of-week will be correct again in 2034, so just sit on them for a decade. 😜 Not that crazy when you realize many of us have more than 10 years of notebooks already.

I have some old calligraphy calendar/date books from 1985/86/87. They come back into alignment as of January 2025.

Might be kind of unique (and classy?) to be using "40" year old date books.

What do "you" think?

While it wasn’t quite as old, I did use a forgotten 2006 engagement calendar for last year.  I liked it so much I bought the current calendar for this year, but the paper is thinner.

My sad paper junky confession is that today I went thrifting and found some older Southworth Gray Granite 24#  cotton paper, and found some Crane’s Kid Finish in Moonstone Grey. I love grey paper.

Might I ask where you found such thrifty nifty-s?  I found an 11x14 strathmore sketchbook at Goodwill once.

Goodwill and eBay today. There’s no shortage of thrift and vintage stores here, though.

Earlier I posted about buying a pen/pencil pouch. It arrived today. I got it at novica.com from the Silk Road region, in this case Uzbekistan. The fabric inside is blue with shimmering threads that embellish the design. The inside is not a geometric pattern.

So, I found myself without any writing paper for pen pals!  Quite bizarre really as my study shelves are loaded down with notebooks and the like but yeah, nothing to write an A4 letter on!

I bought some rice paper that was advertised as suitable for brush calligraphy and drawing but it turned out to be totally useless. A normal fountain pen bleeds straight through and stains the paper behind is as well. No idea what I can use this rice paper for now.

Anyway, popped onto Amazon and ordered a pack of 10 Clairefontaine A4 Notemaker pads - they arrived yesterday so I can continue my snail mail pen pals letters again!

After seeing a couple of mentions of Dingbats notebooks in another thread I have a lined one on the way from Amazon. I don't need it, but don't want to miss out thereby meeting the criteria for this thread title.

It’s almost my birthday, and Yamamoto Paper has some packs of Glassine and TR52 from machine #7, so I finally ordered 5 packages of paper, 2 TR, Glassine, Kin Kaku Den, and Jump paper. It will probably not arrive until after, but since #7 paper is getting harder to find, I jumped on it.

I think that’s an understatement. Congrats on finding some!
