French F.p. (I Think) Identification

Hello everyone in FPN,

I would like help in identifying a recent acquisition. I bought some fountain pens from someone in France mainly to add to my UNIC pen section of fountain pens. As a bit of a bonus there was also a couple of unknown pens, one especially caught my attention even before it arrived. It is probably quite (though I don't now how) old and probably (though I don't now for sure) French.

Anyhow, a few things I do know about it;
It is button fill, the old sac was made of a brownish rubber and still serviceable, I kept it to one side for posterity but replaced it.
The body and cap are celluloid, I could tell when polishing it.
The clip and band appear to be gold plated brass.
The nib is gold plated steel.
The nib bears what appears to be the following inscription 'SeeaP' '2' 'IRIDIUM' 'POINTED'.

On the first line the second 'e' may be a 'c', the 'a' may be a 'd' and the 'P' may be some other obscure letter drawing below.

I have also attached some photographs to help with identification (I hope) any help greatly appreciated.

I find that half the fun of collecting fountain pens is the background investigations to discover their history and in some cases ownership. I'm hoping this one may have something interesting to reveal.

Thanks in anticipation.

To my eye the nib imprint seems to say "Secap". When I Googled "secap fountain pen", I found a couple of references to inexpensive Japanese pens bearing that imprint, one of which was bought in France:

(Good old days: the post is on the newsgroup alt.collecting.pens-pencils, and the first reply is from Frank Dubiel)
