I've been seeing/hearing lots about this Fountain Pen Network, and decided to check it out for myself.

 

I inherited one of my dad's pens he used during the war, but it's kaput. Need to find someone capable of restoring it to use, without losing the patina. Also have 3 Lamy Vistas, 2 Nemosine Singularitys (going for more they write great when they work), my 30yo Schaeffer (had 3 lost 2 in all the moves) which I retired as soon as I got my 1st Lamy. And a pen from Fountain Pen Revolution, my first pen to use the body as ink holder.

Welcome aboard, from Charleston, SC. Given the frequency and degree of flooding your part of Texas has been incurring, perhaps you should collect Sheaffer Snorkels!

Welcome home. Pull up a stump and set a spell. Get thee and thy pens to the Holy Land on Rice Blvd in Houston. Click thy silver heels (they were really silver in the story, not ruby) together and repeat "There's no place like Dromgoole's There's no place like Dromgoole's There's no place like Dromgoole's" then go "West Young Man, Go West!."

Welcome, Joe !

 

I have my Dad's Parker. It is such a great treasure. I am very glad that you can cherish your father's fountain pen. :thumbup: After several more posts, and a bit of longevity, you will be able to post photos. Please share a couple of your Dad's pen -- full-length, showing the nib, removed cap next to the pen. A ruler, in the picture, next to the pen would be nice.

 

I have encountered several very skilled, pen-loving, craftsmen in our membership. You will be well-service. Meanwhile, DON'T FORCE ANYTHING ! Please be patient.
