Does everyone have a recommendation on a hard notebook with fully white paper (Rhodia dotpads as a reference)? Ideally able to lay flat.

Have you considered the Rhodia Webnotebook?

I like the Rhodia webnotebook a lot... but it has ivory colored paper. :(

dukki, The Rhodia Webnotebook has ivory paper in it, but it is very subtle and helps prevent glare while writing and re-reading what has been written. The paper is superb and in my opinion is perfect for journaling or anything else one would use it for. I've been using it for Morning Pages for just over 8 years and couldn't be more pleased. That would be with the exception of the Crane/Graphic Images notebook I previously used before it became too overpriced to use.

You might also consider the Northbooks Hardcover Notebook. You can get it from their website (https://gonorthbooks.com/collections/frontpage/products/dots-192p-1-pack) or Amazon for $15.

I bought a couple, and scribbled onto one page when it arrived. I believe the paper is roughly equivalent to the Rhodia, but I don't use them daily yet because they're waiting on the shelf until I use up my Webnotebook.

Oh, and the Northbooks notebooks are made in America.
