I unreservedly love this colour and it is verging on unhealthy :D. It is at once a deep turquoise, but also a teal (in my swatches) and yet still, a vibrant blue which also shades and sheens like crazy. Wow. Another one that I would happily buy gallons of! I was super excited to trial this one and am not disappointed at all.

Shame that I have so many (non-shimmering) shades of blue already - this one looks tempting...

Can one ever have a blue too many? 😄

Now this one I can pass on. I don't think of this shade when I see "arctic blue", for starters -- I think of a very pale ice blue, not something teal tinged), and I'll admit that the color doesn't grab me.

Base color looks sort of like my beloved Robert Oster "Fire and Ice" (which also has zero water resistance--seriously terribly washable, so I mostly don't use it :( ).

I love Fire and Ice, I have yet to get it to 'fire' up...! Yes there are similarities indeed but both ate uniquely different.

I love Fire and Ice, I have yet to get it to 'fire' up...! Yes there are similarities indeed but both ate uniquely different.

I have found the secret to getting the sheen of Fire and Ice to show up. It's not that the ink flow has to be high: there's basically no sheen with dip pen applications where I tried to get juicy lines. It's more that the ink concentration has to be high. After sitting in my Omas pen for a few weeks and getting to a low level, I wrote with Fire and Ice last night, and the line was quite dark. And I finally saw LOTS of metallic sheen! I conclude that the sheen requires a high concentration of dye after water evaporates a bit from the solution. Up to this point, I observed no sheen from this ink with the same pen (or dip pens).
