The ink will be available in about 4 weeks time.

I helped organise this ink with Diamine for the Reddit r/fountainpens community, so please feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Thanks! That helps a lot. Grey and Earl Grey are just enough different to consider at least trying a sample of the latter; and doesn't seem to be similar to De Atramentis Silver Grey (and it's relabeled cousins).

It is a great ink and I'll be getting some, but as I've mentioned, just have to decide which pen to use...!

I hear from Diamine yesterday that it will be also available in the 30ml bottles, which is good news.

The colour is not bad. Worth a try, but Im not going to jump into a whole 80ml bottle right away. As a matter of fact I dont have any Diamine ink in their bigger bottles.

This has me worried though. Why in 80ml bottle only? Is it a one time thing, or does that mean Diamine is going to make their new releases in big bottles only? No more 30ml for new inks? If thats the case itd be such a shame cos i find 30ml is just the ideal volume for me.

I have been told by Diamine that this will be available in BOTH 30ml and 80ml bottles.

This looks slightly similar to Diamine Vivaldi, I'd be grateful for a comparison once the Earl Grey is out in the wild. I'm hoping it's a bit lighter, a bit wetter, with the bluing slightly more visible.

This has gone onto my list of inks to watch. I didn't think there were any colors left that I didn't have but this seems to be new, at least to me.

I forgot all about Vivaldi - which I do have. Here's my original scan of that.

And the Earl Grey again.

Thank you Good Captain.

I can now clearly see the difference between Earl Grey and Vivaldi - Can you see the difference between Earl Grey and Chopin ? They are indistinguishable to my eye on your scan

I adore Chopin and wondered if it were noticeably different in the flesh?

Thank you. :)

If I look really closely I seem to be able to see that Chopin is a tad more purple, I guess...

As Lgsoltek also says, in daylight and to my naked eye, Chopin has a purple tinge to it. I found Earl Grey neutral and Graphite has a touch of green.
