I don't normally use red inks but this one is just too good not to use. I love that your review shows off the Sheen, Shimmer, and great red color of the ink. Great job!

My pleasure!

It is a very interesting red, and to catch its "essence" in pictures is a challenge :-)

I like complex colors, which are mostly in the greens and browns, but I think we could call this a complex red.

I had a sample that perhaps sat around too long... I did not use Japanese paper, so got no sheen.

Glitter was tilt only.

Will not shake the next time and dredge from the bottom to see if I can get enough glitter to make it worthwhile.

I bought a bottle of the original formula (with the flakes of gold instead of the glitter).  Don't use it much and always had to be careful about what pen it went in (I suspect it would do okay in the pen with the fude nib).

Wasn't sure I'd like the color, but was curious about all the buzz surrounding it, and discovered that the ink color wasn't as horrible as I expected (it's sort of a "brick red").

ETA: I should dig out the notebook that has the test for that ink in it, to see if the flakes of gold are still there (most of the "glitter" inks tend to look cool when you first write with them, but IME, then the glitter doesn't stay on the page after the ink dries...).

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I don't keep pages long enough to find that out. ... Or even think about it. My long term, is the index cards that tell me what ink is in what pen.
