It Was A Dark And Stormy Night...

Has there ever been a 'film titles that should be inks' thread?

Not that I know of....

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Does it matter what the island, real estate developers find with my sun-bleached bones ? Face it. Captain doesn't know whether the time frame is one year, or twenty years. Nobody is going to waste paper writing. I need it to build shelter . . . . . or start fire. I'm going to kill and eat the dumb captain, who got us here.

Noodler's Polar Black : Big bottle, bullet proof, can be painted on non-paper surfaces,

(Still gonna kill that captain !)

Good point, I guess I had better take KTC. It'll survive the island, the storm and the Donner party.

Hopefully, I will remember my copy of Alferd Packer's cookbook "Serving Mankind".

Sasha, did you know that there was a government cafeteria named for Mr. Packer at one time? https://thefreakgeek.org/2016/03/23/cannibals-cafeteria/

And apparently there is a restaurant at Univ. of Colorado named for him.

Legal Lapis... Iraqi Indigo (now Violet Vote) if I wanted even more color

Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket. I have the original I.I. - of course the dyes are no longer available, so we're down to LL.....

Anthony and I will organize everyone so that all the inks get saved.

Hi,

It seems that yet again the intelligence and willingness to help humans that is inherent to dolphins is being underestimated. As our dear amberleadavis resides in a land-locked desert, that is easily excused.

I imagine dolphins salvaging any inks, then bringing them to the Isle of PET.

:)

Bye,

exactly... why I suggested loading ink into rubber duckies... easier for the dolphins to herd to shore

One of us better take a good water proof ink so we will be sure that our story gets told if we don't survive. Monsoon season may destroy all the other writings, so I'm bringing the Platinum Carbon Black.

(Please, somebody make sure to grab some RUM! What's a desert island without a little Capt. Morgan!

Yikes, monsoon season, more than the ink will get washed away. I speak from experience.

Evenso, I'd choose J.Herbin Rose Scented ink. It could double as a perfume, and when in despair of rescue it's delicate scent may be needed to chase the blues away.

Hi Nibbler, et al,

Well, if the good captain insists that I vacate his vessel... I think I'd take J. Herbin Vert Reseda... it's a bright, cheerful color... and I'll need that to boost my spirits.

I've heard people complain about being shipwrecked, so it must not be too much fun; I'll need a festive color. :)

Be well... and enjoy life. :)

:lticaptd:

I'd leave all of mine to sink with the ship.

Perfect! I've been looking for an excuse to get rid of mine without wasting it.

I know what you mean, Josh... I've got some I could have lived w/o.

Well, maybe on second thought, a bottle of my Diamine Soft mint.

Turquoise green is a color that does grow on you... it has on me anyway... I wasn't sure I'd like it as an ink color, but I do.

It's easy on the eyes, (literally); cheerful and up-beat... what more do you want? :D

If the ink bottles got wet during the rescue all the labels would falls off. It could take years to debate which is which.

Will work for pens...

That could be a lot of fun, actually. Give us something to talk about while building things out of bamboo.

Yet another Sarah.

We could do chromatography on coconut husks.

Then I would pick GvFC Moss green. And unopened bottle of Bacardi oakheart to go with my hot coco.

Excellent choices all around. Likely, I'll be the one following you to the dinghy.
