Sheffield Pen

Sheffield was a Danish brand but not a manufacturer. It would have either been made by one of the Danish 'majors' such as Penol, Big Ben or Hoover (who had a lot of sub brands) or it was bought in. Looking at the quality and lack of 'Made in Denmark' I suspect it was bought in from Germany. My guess would be from OMAS.

Don't be fooled by the English name (just a marketing ploy). There are even Big Ben's sporting British patent numbers that were made in Germany!

Sorry for necroposting.

I have the same pen, but in brown, and with a magnificent flexible Degussa nib.

Has anyone learned anything else about this pen? Approx. year of manufacture? Made by Penol?

Thx.

Nick

Miller was a good Danish pen maker and used the designs from other companies, It is difficult to look at an 80 year old pen and say with any certainty that what you see is what came out of the factory.

I cannot read whatever is written on the pen, but is the cap original to the body?
