Namrehsnoom that is absolutely beautiful!

Are the background colors watercolor, or all just washes of the ink itself?

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Indeed, worked out really well - and it are all washes from the same ink, i.e. it’s a one-ink piece. Really fun experiment... I’m definitely going to try more of these :-)

I have to experiment with it myself! What paper was that?

Bockingford 300gsm Rough White Watercolour paper... but I guess any good quality watercolour paper will do. Use a brush to paint it real wet with water, then apply some ink, and let the dyes do their magic. Let dry and add some finishing touches with pen and ink.

I see I need to get some watercolour paper!

For those of you who, like me, feel inadequate when admiring the artistic skills displayed by others in this post, this will make you feel better. Depending on how you look at it, it's a weirdly 2 dimensional Australian spring day or a bizarre aquarium scene without fish.

Missing from the list of inks are Noodlers Walnut and Noodlers Year of the Golden Pig
