Parker Quink Pink

Recommended Posts

While I was getting some Faber-Castell cartridges to try, I picked up some Parker cartridges as well. Actually this is the first time I use Parker inks, and this Quink Pink gives me a very good impression. The flow and lubrication are good, the colour is lovely and bright (my kind of colour). I like this ink, but I'd say it's more magenta than pink. It doesn't seem to be available in bottles.

Splash

Subtle gold sheen in splash, not really noticeable in writing.

Thanks for the review. Ooh, that's a nice color. Too bad it's only in cartridges. Anyone know whether it's available in the US?

Oh, yeah, it reminds me of Solferino. I like it.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

My first thought on seeing this review was 'Qunk is such a dignified line to offer this color!' My second thought was, 'Well, with a name link Quink, how can they not make a pink ink?'

:yikes: I might have to re-consider a Parker pen after all. (Never thought I would because I understand they dry out too fast to be any good here. Are there any that are good?)

Will work for pens...

Ruth, you can pick them up on ebay, one seller is in Illinois and scribe.market in Bulgaria also has them (I buy GvFC carts from them - good prices and fast shipping).

Thanks for the review, LG. I'd seen these for sale and had toyed with trying them and you've inspired me to order a pack.

Thanks chromatic!

As for the video link Amberlea posted, I'll admit that my mind went on a slightly, uh, divergent path... And, frightenedly enough, it's online:

I categorically deny having ever heard of the band performing in this video , BTW -- but it's the first one I found, and, yeah, it's the correct song (correct in that it was the one I thought it was, that is...).

Although I actually know the lyrics for an OLD SCA filk to the same tune *somewhat* better.... [On the very remote chance I EVER become royalty I think one of my whims is gonna be that someone really should write a verse of "Imperium Compound" about me.... :sm_cat: Of course it may end up being the case of "Be careful what you wish for...".]

Interesting, I didn't know that Parker sold pink ink! Makes me think of Pelikan Pink, just cuz they're both cart only. A real shame.

Beautiful handwriting, by the way.

WOW, gives me different thoughts about inks and medicinal compounds.
