I took a different approach - Which ink has the best all round drying, sheeting and shading. The "triathlon" (yes, I know it's not an Olympic event) winner:

@New - great choice.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I went for a sheeny one this week: has to be gold of course!

I think this one out-sheens my entry last week, but then it is the Olympics.

Wow

I use Bilberry daily, and I've never seen sheen like that, in fact any sheen at all.... What's going on.

Top one is Rhodia A5 stapled, with a dip pen and ink drops, so lot's of ink. You can still see some sheen though with the Pelikan M200 M nib in the same pic.

Bottom pic is Tomoe River paper (cream, I think). There's a lot of sheen, even with the Pelikan.

The drops were made by literally dropping ink from a pipette. Good luck in your sheen quest!

Many thanks.

I do have some regular sheeners, sargasso sea, majestic blue etc but I'll definitely need to get bilberry into a broad nibbed or Italic pen, as that sheen looks magical.

Not joining this week; I would have wanted to go with the 5 colors too but i'm missing half of them! :wacko:

Tas; I love your circles too; what a great idea to use the bottles this way!

Thank you Evyxmsj for showing this side of Bilberry; I have a bottle at home but haven't used it much so far, and had never seen that glorious sheen!

@LG, I've decided to do my IG Green inks in order. I'm still on #1. I love these inks.

MANY THANKS to a generous Ink-Abler for providing me with a large sample of the ink which ran the table at the Inklympics.
